Lots, and Darth is by far the least trollish.

That's true. What was his record against Bama, LSU, UF and UGA since 2001? More specifically, what was his record against coaches Saban, Meyer, Richt and Miles?

The debate isn't whether Fulmer did good things in the 90's, it's that he allowed the program to slip and didn't see that anything was wrong. That is obvious if you look at the first 8 years vs the last 8 years.

well it's down to the triplets now, since Voldad and Hat have decided to leave the board

I did wonder about DVD as I haven't seen him in awhile, but it only clicked when I saw (briefly) Hatvol's mea culpa.

Was utpjvol forgetting to put Perrier at their desks at 1000 every morning?

Agreed the worst Trolls in here say they wear orange. But don't seem to remember past the last decade.
If you think 2000 to 2008 was worst period in Vol History, you really did not watch any football before Fulmer. Even Phils declining period was better then 1952 to 1988 overall..

I dunno what the sky is like in some people's delusional world. But I have zero doubt for the reason for the delusion. Your defending why you got all hot and bothered for Kiffin, and how ya whined year after year saying anyone could do what Phil Did.....it's all about your ego, and not about the actual numbers and achievements. It's not about reality it's about your ego, you feel you have to defend your unreasonable hatred back when he was there.....whatever.....

For the record I'm glad we Have Dooley now, I like the fresh start....and in a way I am sorta glad we have Kiffin now that he's gone, because if not for his absolute implosion people would be after Dooley's head when he doesn't immediately pull a SEC championship out of his hat.....maybe we needed the Kiffin era to knock the wind out of the fair weather Vols a bit. All the same, given how little respect Phil recieved, I seriously doubt those kind of fans will be very patient for Dooley....and I really want to see him get time to really get at least a team he fully recruited every year....those kinds of fans are the exact reason why Alabama sucked for so many years after Bryant they had several decent coaches and chased them away before they could settle in...I for one don't want to lose for two decades waiting for people to learn patience.

However as Long as Phil is around gonna show him respect and thank him for being at least so far the best coach I have seen at Tennessee, and for being the best on record since General Neyland.

If Dooley tops him, Phil himself would be pleased, cause unlike some of the fans his love for Tennessee is bigger then his ego.

Tennessee has won an SEC title in every decade except two: the 1970s and the 2000s. That makes Phil's declining period, at best, 7th out of the last 8 decades.

Let me get this straight......so if TN got a SEC championship one year out of a decade and the rest of the years won an average of 50% of their games, you think that's an improvement.......lol?

Why? Because they don't worship at the altar of Fulmer?

The only person who is likely to have an alter with Fulmer replica on it (being sacrificed) is nubtards like you. Jesus are you his illigitimate child or something? Why does a SC fan have such a hard on for hating on another teams twice replaced coach?

That would be a good question if that had come close to happening...ever.

Again, presentation of facts does not equate to hate. I'm not 'hating' on anything. CPF did some great things for UT. Pardoning him of any fault in where UT football is at right now is simply ignorant. He won UT a national championship and two SEC titles, it has been noted. It doesn't change the fact that he wasn't near the coach that the Fulmerites believe him to be. You don't have to be a UT fan to understand that.

Here is some fact for you
1. The signing period after the National Championships rates as the worst of any BCS National Champion
2. His recruiting dropped off drastically
3. His coaching hires after 98 were horrible
4. Along with lack of talent his teams never got better on the field especially Offense(excluding the 2 years Cut came back)
5. He lost control and his teams had no discipline
6. He either forgot to recruit leaders or forgot how to develop leaders in the locker room and on the field.

Yes he did great things along with the staff he inherited from Majors but when he lost those the teams fell off drastically.

Majors was at UT 3 years too long and Fulmer was at UT 5 years too long.

Remember what Cut said when he came back and took over as OC. "This Offense doesn't know how to practice. Doesn't know Tempo"

Who's fault is that?

Fulmer's hires showed he was more afraid of being replaced than he was of winning.

Nobody ever really talks about this, but to me this is where he failed most. Around 2002/2003 the bottom fell out as far as discipline and leadership and it was apparent in the two Peach Bowl beatdowns to Maryland and Clemson.

I think this is the most ridiculous statement ever posted on Volnation.

Approaching pg 100, and this is what the anti-Fulmer crowd throws out.

It is no wonder the anti-Fulmer crowd is so routinely taken behind the woodshed.

Hey, a win is a win. I'll take a 2-0 win for the national championship.

Of course you didn't get my post.

Take the Chief with him. If you can't admit they had a great run and they raised the Big Orange to another level... your crazy. We will be back, sooner than later. We have offensive line. AGAIN!

So, surely, with such terrible failure, and yet still won 9-10 games more than half the time, we should be winning 11-12 games a season now, right?

Did you enjoy the Va Tech beat-down with Kiffin at the helm more? When will we win the number of games Fulmer did, get back into the rankings, and beat ranked opponents again, which should be so easy given how awful Fulmer was?

Well, that's a good question.

90's? Could take a lil bit.

2000's? We are already there.
