Ole Miss and Miss State are better then A&M??? Arky and A&M are pretty even. auburn lost all their talent last year. and ill give the edge to LSU, but that doesnt mean we cant beat them

What do you think of the quote from Santos? Pretty much says it all, don't you think?

You don't just have to play one of those teams one time out of conference when you are in the SEC. You play good teams every week. It makes a huge difference.

That's not how it works and you are not better than Arkansas and MSU, certainly not LSU. They would stomp you guys 9 out of 10 times.

All this chose UT over Bama stuff holds no water. Bama has their eyes on others and he wasnt as high on their board as he was UT. I am pretty certain if Bama had him as a high priority and had room, he would be theirs.

Completely disagree.
Kwon Alexander is/has been Alabama's #1 (targeted) LB, but make no mistake Saban wanted Santos, and certainly would have taken Santos' commitment.

not saying A&M will be the next Alabama, but we will be more then a "mid-tier" team once we get our footing in the conference

In the (past) days of R.C., quite possibly, but in the present SEC---not happening. This is not meant as a slight, Texas Aggie.
Let's say for a moment Divisions remain unchanged, at current strength it would look something like this, IMO...

West:
1. Alabama
2. LSU
3. Arkansas (tied w/ AU)
3. Auburn
5. MSU (tied w/ TAMU)
5. TAMU
7. Mississippi

As for 2013, 2014, 2015,...Alabama, LSU, and Auburn, will remain ahead of TAMU, and, Arkansas too, if HCBP remains. IMO.

Best case scenario for a&m this year would be 9-3. Thats assuming they get kentucky and vandy from the east, and play cupcake ooc. Year in and year out they would be a 7 or 8 win team.

This year? Auburn's 6th in that division. Maybe 7th. Next year, that sounds fairly reasonable. But you did say "current strength."

I would actually put MSU and TAMU ahead of auburn this year I dont think auburn will be that great this year.

Regarding the speculation about where A & M would fit into the pecking order, they remind me alot of Miss. St. I think they would be towards the bottom of the SEC most of the time, but certainly have potential, with a good coach, to field some competitive teams. Not top of the league potential, but definitely competitive and not pushovers like Vandy and Ky.

Yes, and I stand by my predictions. Granted Auburn lost key personnel on both sides of the ball, but Arkansas is not w/out it's own concerns---the latest blow, losing K Davis for the season. MSU might surprise. Ole Miss too.
Coaches and Sports Writers continually praise Coaches Chizik and Malzahn and their ability (while DC Ted Roof is underrated, IMO), the 2011 season is a perfect opportunity / stage to demonstrate their talent.
