Defending Fulmer

Not totally. Im sure we'll end up in Nashville or Sheveport this December.

I hope so. And a run at the SEC title next year. Sounds different to have a bright outlook for the present and future, doesn't it? How many times in the past 12 yrs has TN talked about making a run?

Question: Would we have had a better season in each of the following if Phil was still the HC?

2009 Y or N?
2010 Y or N?
2011 Y or N?

... just interested to know. I personally think 09 & 10 would have been better, but 11' I'm not sure.

2009 = Y without question
2010 = Y no brainer
2011 = jury is still out, never know what will happen. Go Vols!

Just something as simple as your unequivocal comments means that there is enormous reason to believe opposite.

Yep. We're gonna be a juggernaut.

You didnt enjoy playing Notre Dame, Miami, Cal, UCLA and the like? Im boned over getting to see the mighty Buffalo......., Buffalo......, Hell I dont know Bills come to K-town.

WE'RE SO MUCH BETTER OFF.

Yeah, UNC is a real football powerhouse (as is Cal). Might want to check the future schedules. We have quite a few big time schools coming up.

And yet I keep getting proven right as rain time after time after time....
You seem to struggling with several words in the English language. See if you can get one of your sweatshop employees to help you out.

No, you don't. You just keep repeating the same nonsense again and again.

Were you able to come up with any answer to my previous question other than "only a sissy wouldn't continually read my idiocy?"

Well? Still thinking about it? Maybe you're watching :

"Decade of Dominance"?
The Fiesta Bowl?
The 96 Bama game - "Jay Graham 79 yards TOUCHDOWN Tennessee!!"?
The 98 Florida Game?
Who knows maybe the 2008 Vandy and Wyoming games?

There are no wrong answers. I just want honest ones.

I'll definitely take his first 7 years over his last 10. And if Dooley decides to go on a vacation to Jackson Hole, Wyoming during an open date during the season, then I will have the same thoughts about him.

Fuller was great during his first few years. After other programs improved and we couldn't keep Cutcliff, then it wasn't going to get better.

What games would Phil have won in 2009 and why? Keep in mind, he's losing 16 guys that started games in 2008.

You think he beats a much better UCLA team? Same situation with Auburn. You think after getting bludgeoned by UGA and South Carolina we win those?

I actually think Fulmer would have won an extra game or two in 2009 and 2010. And the fact that he would have probably only won an extra game or two above what those depleted rosters did is a perfect advertisement for why he's gone.

I don't think there is any prayer he wins more.

Wow - did the sewing circle get together and pass around the crack pipe?

We used to be ranked every week of every season. We are currently looking at, what, #42??????? And it's very far from being bang out of order.

This is why y'all must be dopplegangers - posing as fools on this board to troll around and get real Vol fans worked up.

How exactly did your Y responses to a set of hypothetical questions get proven right as rain? I must have fallen asleep on the bizarro games of 09 and 10.

First time I've had to say this to you, but hell no. Which ones does he win?

WKU
UCLA
Florida
Ohio
Auburn
Georgia
Alabama
South Carolina
Memphis
Ole Miss
Vandy
Kentucky

I'm not sure you are correct, on '09 especially. Am I the only one who remembers how bad our offense was trying to run the Clawfense ambidextrously? Do you really think another year of that would have been better than what we saw under Kiffin?

I also doubt we would be appreciably better in '10, but it is difficult to have a very good feel with all of the turnover and turmoil caused by coaching changes.

Fulmer wouldn't have beaten Georgia or South Carolina in 2009, nor would he have won any of the games Kiffin lost.

You're probably right but the two games I'm thinking of are UCLA and Auburn in 2009. I guess in the back of my mind I just can't believe that Crompton was as bad as he was,

Yep. We're gonna be a juggernaut.

We will have the best product on the field next year that we have had in a decade and will have the best assmebled staff and leadership that we have seen in a dozen or so years. I'm just going to assume you have no idea what you are looking at when you watch a football game. That must be frustrating.
