That's EXACTLY what our program needs. Since the CPB days there have been high powered alum pulling the strings and not always in a good direction. Tradition is great...but you have to live in the present eventually and we've been getting our rearends handed to us by all the quality (and some not so quality) teams. We needed this drastic change. It's good for your program as well...with your talent y'all should be competing for the NC regularly. If Bama starts giving CPF problems changes will have to be made...notice I said "if".

CPF and other coaches in the SEC are all looking at nice raises thanks to Bama.

Of course the money brought him...it's ALL about money these days...ask Notre Dame, Oklahoma, USC, etc. You have to pay big bucks for a pressure-cooker job.

Answer me this . . . and this is an honest question . . . If Bama was so willing to break the bank for Saban, why did they let Texas A&M buy Franchione out from under them?

Exactly!...that was the good ole days when the 3rd Saturday in October took center stage in the football world. I'm not so sure that anyone but your strength coach needs replacing...y'all are having the same problem we are...getting pushed around in the trenches.

UUHHH Actually Saban will make less at Bama yearly than at Miami.....

Dolphin Owner said there was no mention of money, and it was not about the money, it was about his heart. Guess what else he said? He said he is Sabans biggest fan and he'll be cheering for him in the bowl games.

Saban plus a new Billionaire Fan!

JennVol, I guess you struck a little bit of a nerve but really I mostly read rival fans (not just Tenn) talk about CPB all the time. Most of the Bama fans I know have moved on and want current success...not "back in the 70's...blah, blah".

Most of the Bama fans that I know, including that sicko Paul Finebaum that you fans worship still think that the Bear is going to rise from the dead and coach Bama again. :rolleyes:
