I just wanna know how long it will be before they call him a total a-hole. he is not known as the Nicktator for nothing. No interviews with players, coaches, trainers, noone but him. And all this tradition filled 12 national title hoopla, gone. He is not a "bama man" he is a saban man. It will all be about the here and now. not the what happened 50 years ago. And as far as what the fans and boosters say and want?? They can write him a 32 million dollar check, right now and call it a day, because it is his way or the highway. ALL OR NOTHING.
That's EXACTLY what our program needs. Since the CPB days there have been high powered alum pulling the strings and not always in a good direction. Tradition is great...but you have to live in the present eventually and we've been getting our rearends handed to us by all the quality (and some not so quality) teams. We needed this drastic change. It's good for your program as well...with your talent y'all should be competing for the NC regularly. If Bama starts giving CPF problems changes will have to be made...notice I said "if".
Fulmer beat him in 2001 the first game. if i'm not mistaken fulmer is 1-2 vs Saben big deal considering how far down Alabama is now who cares who goes to that fish bowl.Alabama still has to realize that their tradition did not bring Saben it was the money. Sabens reaction just 8 short days ago still rings a sharp blow "i will not be the coach at alabama" think about that bama fans when you get to patting your new "savior for now" on the back. Money got your guy not your school, not your tradition :birgits_giggle: die hard bama fans know this and did not want him as the coach. I think this is going to be funny.
Of course the money brought him...it's ALL about money these days...ask Notre Dame, Oklahoma, USC, etc. You have to pay big bucks for a pressure-cooker job.
I agree. I am not ready to throw in the towel yet. (BTW) we beat Bear Bryant 4 consecutive years in a row in the late 60's and early 70's.)
I do think Fulmer needs to make some changes in the defensive coaches.......replace Slade and Chavis!
Answer me this . . . and this is an honest question . . . If Bama was so willing to break the bank for Saban, why did they let Texas A&M buy Franchione out from under them?
You say you he's dead and gone, but know that you are all like your new coach...Liars.
I'm going to need a translator...LOL
JennVol, I guess you struck a little bit of a nerve but really I mostly read rival fans (not just Tenn) talk about CPB all the time. Most of the Bama fans I know have moved on and want current success...not "back in the 70's...blah, blah".
