Do not care about BAMA or Florida or any other team's depth chart. Please go back to BOL and Gator Talk or wherever you crawled out from. Dont you dudes must have anything else better to do than to come to a rivals board and act like you know something.

Are we not all here to discuss recruiting and give unprofessional opinions on why recruits should go where or why not. You are taking all the fun out of recruiting.:)

I really hope that during a visit that we can pull this kid. I know it will not be then end of the world if we don't get him, but I can't believe that Texas A&M is actually more desirable then Tennessee. I honestly believe that they will have a down year from what they had last year. I believe that this years UT team could beat this years A&M team. Having a good year this season is going to be very important for the future of Tennessee football. I can't wait, we should be a lot better.

The last time I checked this was the recruiting forum. I could care less if rival fans post on VN as long as they are respectful and bring useful info to the board. TW you are definitely one of the better rival fan posters.

TW might be one of the better ones, but he's still a bammer. Sorry TW, no personal offense intended. You were prolly born that way.

This will be Santos' first trip to "The Hill", what awaits---great facilities, early PT, Alma Mater to former Vol LB's (Wilson, Burnett, Haralson, Gaithers, Mayo, Ayers, Mitchell, etc) who played or are playing in the NFL, LB Coach Sirmon (NFL LB & Coaching experience), SEC, AND VFL program---curious to see who his "Top 2" are after the visit.
I said it earlier, I'll say it again, VOL. IMO.

They're on this board because it's the best in the NCAA and their boards suck. Cut them some slack and let them hang a bit.

Back to Santos, I apologize for the derailment.

He could easily be blown away on his visit to Knoxville and reinsert UT into consideration. The thing is, recruiting is very fluid. He could come here, really hit it off with Sirmon, and like what he sees. I'd be concerned if he leaves us out of his top 2/3 after the visit, but since he's coming to Knoxville, there's no real reason to be concerned.

Santos might like Tennessee and think it's the right place for him.

Yep, ignore button is awesome.

Because the easiest thing to do is close your eyes and pretend it isn't happening?

I don't really care if you ignore me or not - all I'm saying is I'm concerned about our status of recruiting. Dooley is concerned about our status of recruiting.... if you didn't see that look around the recruiting forum. What I'm wondering is - what are we doing to change it?

How is that not logical thought?

I hope he does, considering this will be his first visit.

Pretty sure we were referring to Pace. This kind of came out of left field to me.

I'm not really familiar with Pace and his history of posting. I thought they were referencing my concern for our recruiting. No worries!

It's all good. Lots of fans are worried about our recruiting right now. Anxiety is striking, and I'll give people the benefit of the doubt, and say the anxiety is because they want UT to get back to the top.

It's just way too early, IMO. We're in a good position for a lot of guys. People are going to make assumptions and speculate as to why we only have 2 commitments right now. No one actually knows except the staff. Plain and simple.

My posting history is not accepted much around here as I don't usually like the idea of dragging the bottom of the SEC. Over the last month or so I have spoke my opinion on our recruiting or (lack of)..and for the most part people have nothing to say except "It's only June..then it was "It's only July"..and now a few have started to get a little worried as more and more kids commit and or drop Tennessee back on their list. There are over 100 kids who held offers from the Vols who have commited elsewhere while we sit at (1) solid commitment. Reason for concern?? I would think so.

As for Santos, I hope we can get him to change his mind when he gets here. I think he would see playing time from day 1 and could help turn things around. I think he is leaning toward A&M and with him being from Texas...that's pretty common. Most of those highly rated kids do not leave the state...if they have offers from the in state schools.

I'd say there's a good possibility that Santos will love Tennessee. With the NFL experienced coach, the playing opportunity and SEC exposure, Rocky Top represents linebacker heaven for those with great talent. That's in addition to being a good place generally. And this class should reap the glory of Tennessee's come back. I really do think that Dooley is fixed for it already.

This is the part I disagree with. While it is early, the players on the board we have a realistic shot with are not the same type of players Alabama, Georgia and Florida are recruiting.

Obviously, things can chance. I hope they do.

he'll be hard not to notice. let me explain what happened.

SMGVols created a new profile called PaceVolFL. Instead of being super negative, he tuned it down a hair in hope that everyone wouldn't hate him.

As I have stated before..This SMGVols you speak of and I are not one in the same. I would imagine it would be easy to understand there being more than one Vol fan who feels our recruiting currently sucks and questions where this team is headed. I do understand some like to be positive no matter what and that is fine. Should I ask if everyone who posts a positive comment is your clone child? I thank you for your concern and can assure you your hate has never crossed my mind. :hi:

The trick here is getting Santos out of College Station without a commitment.

If that happens he'll visit all three SEC schools next week.

Pace and SGM have two entirely different styles.

I was referring to PaceFLVol as well. He's been on ignore for a solid month. There's a difference between being concerned and just being negative for the hell of it.

I don't think anyone can honestly say they aren't at least a little bit concerned about our current recruiting situation.
