Alabama, MSU, UT, and Auburn are the schools that are sticking out to Autry. Bama and MSU are the leaders right now. He is looking for early playing time primarily.

We can promise him and his teammate early playing time. Gotta like our chances.

We could promise early PT to Dawson and Wright last year. That excuse doesn't always work. The coaches just need to recruit their a**es off.

True, but playing time is still in our favor.

Will all depend on his visit and what he thinks of the campus enviroment.

He will be able to play at either MSU or TN early.

Does he like a Starkeville style college or Knoxville?

no offense to the poster that goes to MSU, but I honestly don't see how anyone could pick MSU over UT, but to each his own I suppose.

Lol I guess you are referring to me. No hard feelings. I actually agree with you.

However, State has been putting out some great defensive lines. They lost Pernell McPhee to the draft, so they've got some playing time available. Not to mention Autry's JUCO is a short 30 minute drive from Starkville. Hope Tennessee can pull this guy.

A girl I went to HS with chose MSU over UT just to study, no athletics. I couldn't believe it and neither could my classmates. She was dumb, though. She was honest to God slow. Just one of those people you briefly stop to stare at and wonder if they're going to be alright in life. I tried to convince her to come with me, but she visited Starkville and it was "love at first sight"...somehow.

+1. Early PT ultimately is not the deciding factor for most prospects although it probably is more of one for JUCO's than High Schoolers. It's a factor but far from one of the top ones when the final decision is made. Unless a kid simply grows up a huge fan of a certain school I'd almost always put the relationship with the coaches as the #1 factor for a kid choosing the school.

We should be good with he and his teammate considering their relationship with Joseph and Russell.

who's his team mate?

Damien Jacobs the DT that signed with FSU out of high school. FSU isn't going to go after him and Tennessee has apparently offered, so you'd think they have at least a decent chance with him.

This is really good because we really need to address our issues in the front 7 with this class

Laugh all you want but if the staff doesn't address the front 7 in a BIG way we won't be winning anything anytime soon. The front 7 must be addressed. Address it, staff!

+1. 2012 and 2013 aren't going to be nearly as pretty as people think if the talent in the front 7 doesn't improve quite a bit with this recruiting class.
