I think the dragons looked pretty cool. I was hoping they were not going to screw that up.

I was very pleased how closely they kept the major points to the book. Next season will be awesome if that holds true.

I haven't read any of the posts because I just started watching. I became sick and became hooked as I started watching. Just finished the 8th show. The writers get us on the hook with last minute twists. Still trying to figure a couple of things out, but piecing it together as the series goes on is part of the entertainment.

It feels like the first season didn't have a stand-on-it's-own conclusion, which is a bit of a bummer.

I am dying for Spring 2012 though, which I guess is the point.

It stayed very true to the book. None of them have very clean stand alone conclusion, so brace yourself for future seasons

Just watched the finale, thought they did an awesome job of staying true to the source material. As said above, it's about the story, not the destination.

You haven't seen anything yet :), it's just getting started.

Will be interesting to see how they do season 4 & 5 due to a Feast of Crows and a Dance with Dragons running in parallel. Hope they make it that far, this can't be a cheap show to make.
