HBO's "Game of Thrones"

yea it does.. thats one thing i really like about it is the movie like production. HBO usually does a good job with that on their shows

Was wondering if there was a thread about this show. That's the first time I've seen the "shadows" trailer. Gonna be amazing.

Unfortunately it can be their downfall, as well. I loved Rome but it only made it two or three seasons because the production value was so high that they couldn't afford to keep making it any longer.

I'm not sure but I believe Game of Thrones has much higher ratings than Rome did. Although, I don't know if that effects the budget with HBO or not.

Anyways, here is a link to the trailer HBO debuted last night:

bought the 1st season box set the other day, if youre into this show the blu ray set is amazing

Anybody with On Demand on Comcast you can see a lot of good character profiles and sneak preview trailers for season 2. This coming Sunday there's a 30 min long special.

Now that the Walking Dead and Shameless appear to be done for the year, I'm counting on Game of Thrones to anchor my Sunday night TV schedule for a few months. I really enjoyed the first season, so much so that I read all five books last summer. Now, I'll be watching the show through the prism of knowing what is going to happen and I'm curious to find out whether I'll enjoy watching the show as much.

I'm reading the first book now and may barely finish before Season 2 starts - I definitely know what's going to happen as I read the book so it's lost some of it's appeal.

Martin sure does love the words "boiled leather" - it's in pretty much every description of what a fighting guy is wearing.

Let me know please, because I was interested in reading the series, too. Maybe I'll read each book after I see the season.
