'12 IN DT Tyrone Pearson

You didn't post what you heard. You told people to just trust you and you were wrong.

Alright, I hope you're never wrong on this board again, because I'll have to ask you to stop posting.

What a joke.

I would think you could just about claim every player a VOL lock if you wanted to. If they commit elsewhere you could always claim "we stopped recruiting them for ___insert reason here___". Or the other favorite.."We are in on better players, no loss". "if we wanted him, he would be a VOL".

Just because it's overused doesn't mean it isn't sometimes true.

Not at all. We passed on Tyrone because, as it stands right now, he has a 0% chance of qualifying.

That seems to be the consensus. I do not believe he had a committable offer from UT. Folks here are going off the deep end over nothing.

I do believe he tried to commit to UT. The staff must have turned him away.

He did try and commit. You can't always be right. Sometimes you have to stick yourself out there when you hear something good and make some assumptions to come to a conclusion. The info I heard was accurate, there were mitigating circumstances such as, the kid isn't gonna make it in and the SEC passed a rule limiting the kids such as that you can take.

I'll continue to put myself out there when I get good info that I trust.

The info I heard was accurate but only one side of story, there were mitigating circumstances such as, the kid isn't gonna make it in and the SEC passed a rule limiting the kids such as that you can take.

I'll continue to put myself out there when I get bad info that I trust.

Fify.

Wow, HendersonVol sounds kinda butthurt about this one. Callin out Sab like that for no reason? Sorry HVol you contributed nothing but negativity to this one!

Ridiculous. Sab doesn't post random garbage and he brings good info. I heard it here from Sab and also read it over on VQ that Pearson really wanted to be a Vol. By the way Henderson, what insider info do you have?

It wasn't to long ago Sab that some were calling out Freak because he gave to much info and didn't want to read every little bit of info that he found out about a player. There are always going to be those that are never going to be happy. They just got to fuss and be negative about everything. Just remember they are few in number and the rest of us appreciate what input you give us on this site. Keep up the good work.

He quoted what was said earlier in the thread. If someone is going to go on the record and post something as fact, they should be ready to be questioned on it when it proves to be inaccurate. It's all fair in message board recruiting.

Sab didn't post anything inaccurate. The kid wanted to be a Vol. Unfortunately, he couldn't make the academic requirements. I think that it is ridiculous to run off quality posters here b/c they are afraid to post what they hear b/c they don't want to hear people *****. I'm sorry but I'll say it. Not cool.

It still amazes me that some on here can't comprehend that. smh

Has it actually been proven that the kid has grade issues or is that just what everyone is screaming as he didnt pick a big time BCS school? I recall CDD saying that they would be VERY careful in their handing out offers. I recall him saying that recruits would have to visit/camp here to earn that offer. Are we now seeing that CDD and staff are handing out offers to kids who have no chance of qualifying? People are making it sound as though the kid has a 1.3GPA and scored a 4 on his ACT. He has not even started his senior year of high school. If he is so far from qualifying for an SEC school....why was he given an offer by our coaching staff who claims you must earn that offer? Something just does not add up.
