The Weightlifters Thread

I'm two weeks into my new trial of the Asteroid Stack by USP Labs. Haven't changed my diet much and my weight is the same but I have lost an inch of flab.
Has anyone else tried the supplement Powerfull by USP Labs? It's advertised as a GH stimulater and you take it before bed. Claims it helps sleep. I can't say about the GH, but I have been sleeping in a coma like state since I've been taking it.

I don't have any sleep issues either, but my girlfriend does. I was curious, as I am always trying to think of something that would help.

It sounds like I need to learn to cook and get a diet going then. I need a lot of core strength for the cycling, too. Tomorrow I'm going to test my shoulder and give the free weights a shot. Somehow I've gained 5lbs since I joined the gym. My diet is thoroughly screwed up. Better start eating more fish and running (knees are screwed, too).

Abs are all about diet and water retention. Has very very little to do with actual excercise. You need to do some ab work but it has way more to do with body fat ratio.

How did you hurt your shoulder?

I was a victim of a hit-and-run.

Definitely.

Big time tonight, 5 rep'd 110lb dumbbells at the end of my bench set. Nice marker for me.

That's cool. I miss lifting heavy a lot. My girl is a personal trainer and she told me I was getting too bulky, b/c its not a real problem for me to put muscle on. I still remember doing all of my working sets with 125 dumbells before I cut back. For the record she was right though, and I got tired of looking for xxl shirts. After taking some time off I am back lifting 3 times a week with high reps and focusing on the running/cardio.

Started doing drop sets this week for the first time in a long time.... So far Drop sets 2 Me 0.... they are definitely whipping my ass which is what they are suppose to do so thats good.... anybody have a good drop set routine they like to use????

I just do one huge burnout drop set to end my workout. I do it on the lift that I started my workout with.

Depends on the part of the body you're working. I like drops for shoulders and arms. One of my favorites, for example, we used to do what I called a plate race for a finisher for shoulders. You take a 60 lb dumbell, a 45 plate, 35 plate, 25 plate, and 10 plate and do front raises with both hands on the dumbell/plate. You start the process at the bottom with the ten. You complete 12 reps then bump up to 25, 35, 45, 60 for 12 reps. Then you go back down. Burns like hell.

Yea I normally don't do drop sets often I had been reading about them a little lately and figured I would give them a try for a week or 2...
