Trooper and former players recruiting against vols?

What better way to slap your program you clearly have a grudge with...and at the right time with all of the focus from NCAA. This puts Dooley under the spotlight which up to this point has been all on Kiffin's era.

This doesn't really put any spotlight on Dooley IMO. Any rational person is going to realize that if all this proves to be true, DD had no knowledge of or involvement in this situation.

So, what happens when GJ shows up to workout during Tennessee's pro-day for NFL scouts?

He has to have one since he was not invited to the combine.

I'm going to guess that he doesn't show up there for the pro day workout. Just guessing. :)

If true about Jones, after wishing him the best in his NFL tryout, I wish him the worse in getting to the NFL. It is almost Kiffinesque.

So what evidence is there to implicate Jones?

I have a 500 page document that a professor friend of mine is getting for me, I might not have it til tonight. No, seriously I dont have concrete evidence so you are right, all it is right now is an assumption, but a very strong one whatever that means.

Doesn't/didn't Swain used to post on there? And he's from Alabama... and has a love for Trooper Taylor as well.. not sure why everyone automatically assumes its Jones - although I would be surprised to see Swain bitter towards UT like Jones could be.

Swain loves UT. He has his own radio show in Knoxville. Its Gerald Jones. Also hearing Gerald Williams. They are no longer Vols. Just trash.

Williams? After UT bent over backwards to get him into school? Nice loyalty. My god-is there any precedent for this from another school that anyone knows of? What right do these 2 have to be THAT bitter about their time at Tennessee?

Easy man, it's just speculation at this point. Give them the benfit of the doubt until any concrete evidence comes out.

Can't believe Williams would say anything at all after all the chances we took on him. I think these are all baseless rumors.

How does this put Dooley in the spotlight? He can't control this Benedict Arnold. Jones is mad that D Moe became a star and he didn't. He obviously has zero loyalty. Jones to me is worse than Kiffin. This is a HUGE backstab.

Having no knowledge is a double edged sword. Did Hamilton have knowledge of Pearl's picture fiasco? Who had knowledge of a few girls driving around stalking recruits? In some instances daddy does a no-no and 'knowledge' is overlooked while in others it is not.

My point is this happens under Dooley's watch. Up to this point we could say things were clean since he came to town and all rule violations were Kiffin's.

Somebody put the call in to Haynesworth. Tell him to stand by for confirmation, time to do some dirt that is admirable. AH will "talk" to somebody.

It looks that way, but everything I have been told was that he was a heavy lean to UT closely followed by the barn.

I still believe it stems from 2007-8 and the Clawson hire. Many have said there was a rift in the team after that

I can see that. IOW, most UT troubles trace back to Fulmer's reluctance to hire a hot OC until forced by Hammy to hire the wrong guy.

Trooper will get his----karma is a *itch.

NOW I do hope the 2A gets Auburn. Troop is the bag man; IMO.

The only way that Dooley could have forseen any of this would have been for him to be a Jedi. And I'm talking Jedi Master-not just some Padowan learner. Maybe he is a Jedi, and the Darkside was clouding his vision. Who the eff knows.

And I've been saying Gerald Jones is the player we'll miss most of everyone graduating. If this is true, maybe we won't miss him as much as we thought.

I'd understand if it were someone who graduated in '08 after the Clawson debacle. But I really thought the seniors had bought in to Dooley, and Gerald certainly had more success this year than he has in the past. He was directly responsible for 30% of our third down conversions over the last 9 games.
