The Kiffin Effect

Kiffin already set a record for his time at Tennessee -- the worst attrition rate on a SEC program by any coach in such a short time period. Aside from the 1) cut-and-burn approach he took to the then-existing roster (depleting all depth), or the loss of players in the wake of his sudden departure, and not even counting all the recruits we would have lost had he stayed (Hunter & Stone not here; recruits like Ambles, Stanley, Willis likely would have left for reasons they left those programs), let's just look at his 2009 roster. ...

1) Revisionist history debunked numerous times

2) He can kiss my ass for the way he left UT. I hope he never wins another game.

3) Aside from Cowherd I don’t think anyone was impressed with the Dream Team this year

4) He is earning millions of dollars as the HC of one of the most prestigious programs in the country. All the while living in So. Cal. while most of us are shoveling snow.

5) Where is your Hero Fulmer coaching nowdays?

goi Vols
Im talking about this year genius. You know, the 13 games we just got done playing? Who said anything about the 2011 season? It's pretty funy that people are still moaning and crying about Kiffin though.

The only ones out of Kiffin's class that made an impact the past two seasons are....

Janzen Jackson
Eric Gordon
JerQuari Schofield
Marsalis Teague

The one's who still can make an impact the next two seasons, IF they get their stuff together...

Greg King
Nyshier Oliver
Zach Rogers
Marlon Walls

Outside of those 8, it looks like most of that class will be a host of busts and transfers to me, just like the last 4 classes. Hopefully Dooley is right about the 2011 class coming in, that there won't be that many misses. We had better hope so.

Ambles is at USC, why don't you think he'd be here?

Also, Hunter was coming to UT due to the jump coach mainly, not football coach.

What is the point of this thread? It's ridiculous. So tell me, do we just throw away the 2010 class? Was it Dooley's, was it Kiffin's? The future of our team is on the shoulders of our '09 and '10 classes if we are to challenge in '12. Whatever, all I know there was one coach that wasn't involved. OP must seriously be butt hurt by Kiffin or Dooley.

Sorry to bump this thread!

Yeah, Nevin McKenzie and DeAngelo Willingham were so productive. Good one

So now you want to change the standard one more time to who is "so productive"? Willingham was a better DB than Teague has been so far and McKenzie was more productive than King so far. A little reminder for you:

McKenzie - 5th leading tackler on a top-ranked SEC defense; 1st in sacks; 2nd in tackles for loss; & 2nd in passes broken up.

Willingham - a starting corner for most of his career, including that top-ranked SEC defense in 2008.

Ambles is already gone from USC; trying to find a junior college to take him. Hunter was an LSU lean until Dooley came in.

Ambles went back to USC (or never really left) and Hunter was coming to UT

You're right; they just took him back after he tried to transfer out. Little chance Dooley would have kept him with the drama queen style.

Not like we're deep at wideout.

Also culture shock of moving from Georgia to LA would not be an issue here.
