09 CA S Byron Moore - UT Commit

Byron must be having fun at Oregon State. His last tweet says he's at the gymnastics meet.

If he signs with us, we'll have two former USC players starting for us. Awesome.

Back from his Oregon State visit. Said the coaches told him he could play corner or safety and would play early.

Also:

"I'm going to Miami next weekend and then I'll decide on Signing Day," said Moore. "This week, Coach (Justin) Wilcox (from Tennessee) and then Coach (Al) Golden from Miami will be in."

I would absolutely love to have this kid, but I just don't see it happening. Miami is going to be tough to beat out here. Hopefully Wilcox can do something.

Yes it is. It seems people forget that UT has been down for nearly 10 years.

Miami was a beast of its own. I love Tennessee, but the two are not comparable, IMO, and I think most non-UT fans would agree.

Ha, we didn't get our own ESPN special.

I'm sure some non-Vols would disagree. After all, the Canes had to "settle" for Al Golden after being treated like a second-rate program after firing R. Shannon.

Playing in the SEC vs. ACC is a legit argument too. The two conferences aren't even close anymore, which helps a lot in recruiting players.

He wasn't magic locking up Marcus Jackson.

Yeah Im hoping he isn't with Moore either. Im hoping Moore asks some specific questions that Golden just can't answer yet.
