09 CA S Byron Moore - UT Commit

Simply because his dad likes the canes doesn't mean he will go to Miami. I could list off a ton of examples of recruits that went somewhere other than the place their parents "loved."

I still like UT to get him.

He seems to want to play in the SEC, but also seems enamored with the U (as does pops, allegedly). I'm optimistic, but really have no idea. Could go either way IMO.

I wonder if these people that remain enamoured with the U realize that it's no longer the 1990's?

But isn't funny Vol fans think Gabe Wright is coming here because his mom likes UT while he likes Auburn?

Ha Us Tennessee fans have no room to talk right now.

Exactly why I've never been confident he'd come to UT, and this is exactly why people are finally starting to think Auburn is indeed in the lead. Wright has said for a long time that the Barn leads. There are several notable posters on here, like LV, that are confident he'll go to Auburn.

At the end of the day, anything can happen.

Sadly, this. But recruits are high on the program's potential right now.

Yes, it is obvious to see things are getting better. But I don't anticipate a National Championship every year like I did in the 90's. Things definitely are getting better.

Unfortunately, some could probably say the same about us.

I thought the same thing, but in fairness, I would say Miami was a better program than we were.

At least we have a nice stadium and an actual fan base. Our friend Miamicane might actually be the only Miami fan in the world. Personally I think he is a closet UT fan.

Losing him would hurt bad....he'd start from day 1 and would give major flexibility in the secondary since he can play free or corner.

The perfect scenario for the '11 Vol D would be: a 4-2-5 look with Moore & Janzen locking down the outside, Waggner locking down the slot, Brewer playing close to the box & Randolph playing center field would be nice for those spread looks. Gordon, Teague, Thomas, Martin, Sapp, Loften & Coleman will be nice depth for that rotation as well.

Will they be able to do this? We'll see - but there's no doubt that this would be the ideal scenario for Wilcox.

Maybe I've just lost my mind, but who is this Thomas you speak of?

And I don't think Loften is ever going to get in.
