Can someone explain why Vol fans are the only ones saying he is a Vol? What undercover information does everyone have? I want to drink that kool aid.

You are being played IMO. People are under estimating Auburn here. I think they are about to lay the hammer down in recruiting. And a Columbus kid to Auburn is like a Kingsport kid to UT. Homegrown.

Not underestimating Auburn at all. They are as dirty as they come.

You and everyone saying Auburn are underestimating the power of MOM.

This kid is a Vol.

i honestly don't have a clue where this kid will end up. part of me says auburn and part of me says TN. auburn has the fact that fairley is gonna be a top 5 pick and can sell to him that that could be him soon, TN can sell early playing time and CCS is one of the best

People are assuming that he loves his visit and will commit afterwards sometime

Nothing to do with this visit. He has been here enough and already loves it. This is just an icing on the cake visit.

He will not announce until NSD for several reasons but it will be UT.

Our track record of NFL DTs is much much better than Auburns.

but the recent success is on Auburn's side. being a 19 year old and seeing how kids my age think, they will notice the recent success more than the success in the past IMO. everyone is different but if someone can sell him the history and what was in the past, this kid will be a Vol

UT had a 1st round DT taken last season

No they dont. They have 1 recent DT go to the NFL and he wasnt all that.

The Titans got DT Sen'Derrick Marks in the second round out of Auburn but he didn't do much this past season.

Hes the only one they have put into the league in a long time. Yes Fairley will go this year but we still have had waay more go into the league, especially first rounders.

Ok I can understand people saying he is leaning towards the Vols or he had a great visit. What I don't understand is people saying he is a Vol for sure. The only way that would be true is if you had insider information that the kid was a silent.

I don't get people who talk about programs that put players in the NFL? First of all, what does it matter what Marks did? I haven't researched it, but I am assuming Auburn has a different coaching staff in place since he left (his position coach)? On top of that, the NFL is the best of the best. Period. Not just on the field, but in the front office as well. They will find talent no matter where it is. Look at Chris Johnson with the Titans. East Carolina, but just has that naturally ability, and more importantly, work ethic.

I just think talk about programs that put players in the NFL is overrated at this point. With the amount of coach turnover at programs these days, it's really kind of irrelevant. And when people start talking about programs putting players in over a 2 decade span, it's just the most idiotic discussion ever. Coaching is a big part, but to be successful at that level you have to be supremely talented, and you have to have the work ethic it takes to get there.

About the only program related comment as far as players getting into the NFL I would make is that Texas seems to put guys in the NFL who almost never pan out to expectations. Is that the program's fault? Probably not. But the thing is they get guys who are so naturally gifted, athletically, that they are appealing to NFL front offices on what they could become. It's not necessarily a knock on Texas' coaching, but just more on the seemingly obvious conclusion that they don't put as strong a leash, or push guys as hard, as a program like one run by Nick Saban would.

For everyone asking why people like jmoore were so confident, it has a lot to do with the fact that James Bryant has insisted for months now that Wright will be a Vol on NSD and that he can't divulge why he is so confident but it will all come out. He said similar things leading up to Arnett's commitment.

Also, GT09 (who writes for Georgia Tech's Rivals site and knows as much about Georgia recruits as anyone) has said the same thing.
