I was told this by same guy who told me Scroggins had yet to be cleared before anyone else and the same guy who texts me sideline pics straight from the game so TIFWIW :dunno:

"I spoke with Arnett's brother and he said that Arnett did not commit to USC on his visit. There is definitely strong mutual interest between the two sides, but again, Arnett's brother is saying that he did not commit to USC. It's possible that Arnett may end up announcing his decision on ESPNU at some point in the future."

Not discrediting you Jay b/c it seems your dude is legit, but I read yesterday that Arnett's brother had stated that "he did not committ". I also read a couple other ppl's response that squashed it. Now that doesn't mean he's keeping it quiet for a surprise. Idk man I'm so confused.........

Of course his brother squashed the rumors....Arnett wants to commit live on ESPNU...if they let it known that he has already committed then it wouldn't make much sense to be on ESPN.

He's a silent, if true.

Jay not saying you are wrong. I had seen that quote and thought that the rumor had been squashed. You would think if he did committ he is a silent. Is Hubbs saying anything about the rumor?

Unless I've missed it, Hubbs has said nothing of it and there has been no talk about it on VQ.

I'll believe it when I see it, I'm still saying a UT/MSU battle. I could be way off on it & he very well could have gave them a silent but I just dont see it happening.

At this point, I could care less if any player we are after chooses SC over UT. Have fun playing with a bunch of guys not fighting for anything the next couple of years. Have fun playing for guys that a lot of players, coaches, and fans can't stand. Have fun playing for known cheats.

Why would USC, with their limited scholarships, be offering any WRs in this class? They signed a ton of WRs last year and have Blackwell committed for this year. From what I've seen, with their limited number of available scholarships, they should find some players up front, and some LBs.

I hate to be that guy...but it makes you wonder if they're doing it because the rumor was that he's a silent to us...they have no other reason to use one of their limited scholarship numbers on a position they are stacked at
