What I have just read from Volwatch is a total game changer.

The man who has declared himself a scouting professional, as in actually paid to scout, the man who correctly said that Fulmers recruits were overrated and overstarred, and the man who said Kiffins crew was undeserving of its recruiting reputation, just said that DD and his staff are the best talent evaluators and X&O coaches in the SEC.

Sounds good, hopefully the next few years show said comments to be accurate.

Big statement. I guess we will have to wait a couple of classes to tell.

I believe next year will be noticeably different as to how we execute on the field. Probably won't be seeing many more 13 men on the field penalties

I guess by X's and O's he doesnt mean playing with 11 players on the field. I would have just rather him say best talent evaluators. By saying X's and O's ,,it tarnishes his other opinions. I still think this staff can get it done here, but the best in the SEC........I cant buy it right now.

Rex... I hope the aurthur is correct, but don't you think it is a little early to make such a declaration, in maybe three or four years, this could be the case, but we are 4-2 which does not lead the national media to our door, or even the SEC media. The person who wrote that had to be a homer....IMHO

Kiffin and Orgeron are tremendous recruiters. I hope he's right about the rest of his claims.

using ncaa risky techniques, they were tremendous recruiters of high star players, many of whom left. we never got to see if they could develop them. with whats happened at usc, we will never know....kiffin is such a fail

This is more what I thought of our last coach and the Cajun Shrek. They are great salesmen. They have a knack for talking the four and five star players into signing with them. This, however, does not make them tremendous recruiters. If u r not filling the needs of the team in the process and not making sure you are at least trying to match up with the players you currently have while watching character issues to a certain extent, it is going to end up biting you in the end.

Only time will tell.

CDD has to stockpile the next 2 or 3 classes with quality OLineman and DLineman. This needs to be done every year of course, but I am willing to see less stars on skilled players at this point if it means we are stock piling the big uglies, because to run an efficient offense in the SEC it all starts "up front". It's where we are lacking the most at this point.

Good players can become "great players" with good lineman and blockers around them.
But great players become very average with less than stellar blocking.

Subbing has nothing to do with "Xs and Os". The playcalling and gameplanning has been adequate so far. We'll see where it goes when we have the talent for something a little less conservative.

X's and O's have nothing to do with subbing?? It has everything to do with it. Thats like saying they are the best at crossing their I's and dotting their T's. JMO though.

If I ask enough people any question, eventually I will find some one that agrees with me. Also, a wise man once said, "Opinions are like butt holes, everybody got one and thinks everybody else's stinks."
