Why is it that so many fans are just now seeing the damage wrought from so many years of neglect of the program by Fulmer?

I don't blame oku for leaving. He could have been great tailback if given opportunity. He gets in there and breaks off big gain and gets gets taken out. Don't believe he is allowed to get back to back carries.

I hate to hear this. I know he is hurting right now but quiting is almost never the answer. He will learn a lot if he sticks it out. I think a position change would be helpful. I think he should go to the coaches and say I am ready to do what ever it takes to help this team and do it. I hope he does not quit. I also hope he does not let a bunch of idiots on boards like this influence him. Stick it out big guy.... :good!:

Another trash the player who leaves thread... great.

Don't like the way our fan base turns so quickly. I understand we have the mentality of "with us or against us" but trashing players that want to leave is something that Vol Nation doesn't need. Let them go but don't trash. Fine if Oku wants to leave then okay thats a decision he has to live with but I still think it hurts the team this year and the next two he was going to be here because he could be a good RB. :twocents:

Any loss of skill players at this point is not good. It also doesn't reflect well on the program with recruits. There's no way around that. It does seem like these mid-west kids have a tough time handling adversity. For those you of you who say we shouldn't give Bray playing time right now, this is a good wake-up call. You gotta give kids playing time otherwise they will go somewhere else.

If he's quitting, should they just give in to him? ...sets a bad precedent, IMO.

Basically, they need to create a culture in which players want to be a part of it.

If Oku leaves, he's lost more 4*s in one position than he has recruited for his incoming class.

That will broaden the talent gap.

IF Dooley can talk him out of it without directly placating him then fine. But harboring a malcontent who complained his way into more snaps doesn't seem like the right way to build your team.

At some point, one has to wonder what culture is motivating players to leave the team and the team to quit playing during games.

Something is simply not working.

Exactly this....our team didn't look like motivated against Georgia....maybe it was me.....but they give up way to easy

If Oku can't make it on the field with our talent situation, then he doesn't deserve to play here. Period
