Fulmer's Quotes

Ummmm i did say fulmer did alot of good here! But he us the one who made the mistake hires! He is the one who couldn't coach up the players! I do appreciate what he did here, but it was his time to go. Cut did alot for fulmer, please dont forget that..he needed to go. So in my opinion he single handedly ran this program in to the ground... He was THE HEAD COACH right? So the Blame goes on him!!!!

Your foolish to think he isn't to blame!!! Kiffin had one recruiting class, they are all sophmores the rest are fulmers!! So tell me again why we lack depth? And talent? Gotta hear the excuse you make for fulmer now!

Auburn was in the exact same shape when Tubby left after a 5-7 year two years ago. AU lost ever single recruit in the state to Bama. All there half decent talent now is transfers and freshman or sophomore. NO reason TN should not be able to compete two years later.

he told the truth.

this is a long-term project/problem that is going to take a lot of work.

i am sure that it kills him to see the program where it is right now.

i was glad to see him go but he is still a vol and bleeds orange.

That is on you...you will be wishing for the type of success Phil had for a number of years.

Yeah, all those years I was hoping for a run like Nebraska's, Miami's, or Florida's. Instead, Humko Fultanicroom was busy losing to Wyoming. I pine for the days of losing games to the likes of Ron Zook and Dennis Franchione. Hell, if Dooley can manage 1 SEC title in the next 10 years, he'll already be on par with Grimace.

At least he got to work in his "workin like heck" quote. Fat B@stard!

I couldn't believe I was reading that. Wonder why he didn't throw a little magic dust on the problem. Dools needs all the magic dust he can get.

The delusion is phenomenal.

Takes an entire staff nobody can deny how good Cut was with his play-calling and his ability to mold a QB.

But let's not give the man all the credit.

I don't want to give him 100% of the credit but you saw what happened when he came back for the '06 season. Smoked Cal then barely lost to eventual champs UF and a good LSU team thanks to a 3rd and Chavis defense. Now don't take this as a bashing Chavis comment because he put out some great defenses ,but hell far I've never been so sick to my stomach at a UT game as I was watching LSU convert 3rd and 387's all game long.

I actually thought he was being honest and realistic of where we are. you all can crucify him if you want to but I find myself agreeing with what hes sayin

Compared to what we went through last year and we are going to be going through the next 3 years or so?

I am no Kiffin fan, but he won 2 more than Phil did in his first year. And didn't lose to Bama and UF by 30.

Of course he's accurate with the assessment that's not the issue. The issue is, HE is the REASON (well a big part of why) we are in the position we are.

You're acting as if Fulmer has no hand in the current disaster.
Posted via VolNation Mobile

He certainly does...the biggest hand but not the only hand.

Which is how some paint it, which is moronic.

My point is this, you ( not you specifically ) cannot just look at the last 10 years of his tenure and use it to make your argument seem logical.

When looking at the entire picture, not too bad.

Could have been better, yes, but it always can be better.

Last year was better that 2 of Fulmer's last 4.

By a long shot.:ermm:

We still won just 7 games man, we did have a better staff top to bottom then we had.

I wonder how Kiffin would have fared with Deer In Headlights Ainge or Rick Clausen?

He will never win a National Title, doubt he wins a conference title.

He won 7 games with the same roster Phil won 5 with.

And didn't lose to to UF and Bama by 30 as I stated before.

Kiffin was a snake but his staff out coached Phils. Plain and simple.

Outcoaching Fulmer is hardly a sign of greatness.

im not sure how you have come to the conclusion that tennessee cant compete but auburn can.
Posted via VolNation Mobile

Because TN suffered its worst home loss in the SEC era- Over 90 years. Is Auburn a NC contender-No, but they have not quite either when the chips were down.

My last few years, if you talked about only winning nine, it was an act of terror, and now they're pushing and hoping to win six to get into a bowl game."

But you didnt win 9 games, you won only 5, TWICE
