I don't understand why everyone rags on our defense.

Bad games(giving up 300+ yards) - Boise, Purdue, Washington, USC, Stanford, Arizona, Oregon State, Ohio State.

Good games(Under 250 yards given up) - Washington St., Cal, Arizona State. The WSU and ASU games sure bolstered those numbers.

Utah almost broke 300 on the Ducks D.

So you held Jahvid to under 4 ypc. So did ASU

You know , you rarely run across true football fans anymore. I mean people that watch the games because they love football without bias and not just one particular team unconditionally. People get so defensive and hot headed over anyone so much as hinting their team might not dominate . Anyway.... There are two facts that will most likely affect the game. 1. There are a LOT of unknowns from UT's side. (You don't know what trickery Dooley is gonna use in UT's offense. And that dude knows tricks..... and on top of that , Justin Wilcox is very familiar with Oregon's version of the spread. But how will he adapt to an entirely new roster of players?) 2. Oregon no longer has Masoli driving the machine. Nate Costa is no Masoli.

See them all the time, they're called Bama fans until they win something.

I like people who like one team, call me what you want.

Enjoy Hollywood, that's not how things go around here.

Not to mention, nothing about "loving football" screams The West Coast.

Yea, I was at the bar here in Oregon last year when Boise smacked Oregon down, and there were idiots there that were actually cheering when Blount punched that guy. I was like, seriously wtf? Why would you cheer for that if you really cared about your team?

"DuckinTN"...couple of ways you could look at that one.

I'm reminded of Brian McCat. UK fan. Comes on here every year to talk about how "this is the year UK beats UT". Bleats like a tethered sheep for weeks leading up to the game.

And is harder to find than the Holy Grail five minutes after the game is over.

Some things never change.

Next time I'm at Denny's, I'll read up on Oregon Football.

Go Vols.

Worried about them getting the ball in space, because I expect them to be similar to Florida and turn what should be 3 to 5 yard gains into 10 to 12. But Wilcox should have a firm understanding of their scheme, so UT will challenge and I expect a good game. A victory will be in order if we win time of possession and the turnover battle imo.

my friends, where would oregon be ranked if playing in the sec i wonder, they will stack the box against us big time and force bray or simms to win it for us, but if a big defensive battle plays out, i like our chances with janzen on their hot shot receiver I'VE never heard of, both teams have two interceptions, our defense hold both times, janzen runs one back off a crushing block by savion frazier... book it

oregon pass defense rank 44th

oregon rush defense rank 42nd

That is simply not true. McCat enjoys some good natured banter but doesn't troll. And, he's ALWAYS here afterwards to take his medicine and offer congrats. If all rival fans were like Brian we would be lucky.

It is true. Go back and search his posts. Where has he been the last two or three years after the game?

If you like him, that's fine. But I have no respect for a troll who comes to VN...stirs it up...and then won't stick around for his come-uppance.

He's a troll. Plain and simple. Proof: Seen him around here lately? No. He won't show up until a few weeks before the game. And you''ll need Troll Radar to find him afterwards.

I'll stand by my comments.

Go Vols.

Check my edited post for the proof you requested.

Uh, D-line?

Yea, obviously D-line. I am excited to watch our LB's this year though. With all the injuries that plagued us last year at that position, we have a lot of talent AND experience coming back this year. Almost all of our LB's have a good amount of game experience.

Nice edit on your original response.

Still not impressed. Two posts after the '09 game, and only one related to the game.

One in the basketball forum, post-game.

And three in '07, after the game?

This is "taking your medicine"? After listening to him shoot his mouth off for a week or two before the game?

Sorry. Not buying it.

He's a troll. A polite one...a humble one (does he have a choice?)...but a troll in a suit is simply a well-dressed troll.

You have your opinion; I have mine.

Go Vols.
