'11 MI WR DeAnthony Arnett - UT Commit

I mean their self-imposed penalties and the fact that they are still down as a program can't bode well for recruits imo

Says his top 6 are Michigan St., Cal, UT, OU, USC, Iowa and he will consider Miami if they offer.

I just read that article on him from Rivals and it definitely was a positive for us. I really hope that Dooley and Baggett are selling Arnett and Hayes as a package to help our cause, which they are both really close and both really like the Vols. It would make it easier for them both to leave home and come to Knoxville for college if they both decided on the same place. I bet that the staff is going to throw the kitchen sink at them when they come to visit next weekend.

Is Hayes coming with Arnett to visit for sure or are you just assuming he is?

It's not confirmed yet, but if I had to bet on it, I would say yes. Hayes has planned on coming to UT for a visit all along and this is his chance..with one of his best friends.

Gotcha. I just wasn't sure if it was confirmed. I think Hayes will come with Arnett too. :good!:

Article on Rivals by Ladky. Arnett says he like Knoxville and felt comfortable when he camped here last year. Likes Dooley and Baggett. Said they were both down to earth, but they were also honest and he liked that. They told him they would make no promises and he would have to earn his PT.

That's great, but seems kinda generic for an answer. Likes the city and the coaches etc. Most recruits are not going to flat out say they don't like the city or the coaches... Just mho though.

He didn't give it as a direct answer to a question. He was asked to name his leaders and he named each and said why he liked that school. I don't know what else you could want at this point.

Well since he just gave it like that then yes you're right. For example, if he was asked "how did you like your UT visit?" then it might appear kinda like a generic answer. Don't get me wrong, I really want this guy to wear the Orange and White.

I'm just glad that we are in it for a top WR considering what we pulled in last year and what we have returning. I didn't see Cal coming in his top 6. I agree that Arnett should be packaged with Hayes. It will give UT a better chance to pull them in. I think that is the only way they come this far from home, the south.

So he names his Top 6 plus a "wild card" but scout only has 3 schools drawing his top interest. What's up with that?

actually I noticed that Scout has Notre Dame as one of his top 3 schools - even though he just left them off his final list. Scout is crap
