Will Bryce Brown return to play (be listed on a gameday roster) for Tennessee?

I'd prefer to have him back, and if I had my way both him and his brother would be on the team. But, I'm not gonna lose any sleep if CDD tells them no.

The decision should be made by the head coach and the player involved.

The team will rally around when he breaks free for a TD this fall.

I'd like to think DD's claim that the team will "ok" it first was more than coachspeak. I'd love to believe that kind of trust has been built. (Or @ least the foundation for it)

Are ANY facts on this? Or is it all just speculation? Does any one even know if the meeting took place? I am just coming and I am late to this party, but if it is true of a package deal then I would think there wouldn't be any doubt DD would take it if offered.

I can't wait for when we do get news that he and his brother are joining the vols. Just to see the ones who are ripping him in fear he isn't coming back, relish and start celebrating his return lol. :good!:

Wanting the guy to play for Tennessee and kissing his ass and stalking him on Facebook are two different situations.

I could care less either way. If he wants to stay, fine.
If he wants to leave, fine. Hes either a Vol or not!!

Bryce's father and his brother were in Knoxville yesterday. The plan was to come and get Bryce and load his things to go back to Kansas. They did met with Chaney and Dooley around 5-5:30pm last night.

Bryce really wants to play with his brother and remember Arthur was in Knoxville a couple of different times over the winter before Kiffin left town.

The Brown family is not commenting on anything tonight as to the results of the meeting.

Dooley made it clear on several occasions that he was not closing the door on Bryce remaining on the team, but Bryce was going to be the one who had to make a move to come back. Dooley was not going to chase him.

As soon as I can find some results of the meeting, I will post them.

Lets say he comes back. Everyone says " make him earn his spot ".. This is a bad idea. Lets say he doesnt do well in practice, doesnt put forth enough effort, Dooley isnt going to come out publicly and announce that. Yet come game day, all we will hear is, why doesnt he play BB, put BB in, whats Dooley thinking? Regardless of what Dooley does in this situation he is going to be considered stupid for doing it. This isnt Dooleys fault, BB quit on the team. Good luck BB, KSU is calling! Your not that important to me, if Dooley lets you back on he team, you better be ready to work like never before, good luck either way.

Making BB earn the spot is the equivalent to giving him the position because he's the best back we have and he will earn it. Make no mistake about that. This truth could be what CDD is thinking.

BB 'quit' on the team based on whatever interactions he had with the new staff and his reflections on what was happening at UT. It was a lot for all of our players, and perhaps some handled it in better ways. BB didn't quit on the team during the season last year. He worked hard and it showed.

Get real, folks. We need to re-recruit (recruit, persuade, convince, or whatever you want to call it) the Browns to join the Vols.

They have great work ethics, so let's get off that note.

Exactly. Make no mistake about it homers (myself included) WE NEED BB + AB from a football standpoit, PERIOD. We shall see what happens soon enough. They'll either be Vols, or others. Good luck either way. (A lil more if your a vol tho. =)..)

I agree. Its nothing Saban or Meyer wouldnt do for one of their prised recruits and no one would question them as coaches for doing so. We need all the talent and depth we can get we arent quite competing for SEC championships at the moment.

BB is pretty sharp btw ihate, he knows that there would be an akward, unspoken vibe. Naturally, he's not gonna just tell everyone he's "back" He's gonna bust arse to show them. Kids an elite talent. Its relatively safe to assume he doesn't want to be an outcast amongst his 'mates. He's smart enough to read the situation and what it calls for. Think ab it.

i'll be the 1st to admit i hope we can get em both because we really need another top notch LB and it wouldnt hurt havin another RB

I hope that he stays and brings his brother down here as well! 2 more solid bodies on this team will be a welcome site right now. What does not make sense about the meeting to me is why Chaney was in there when AB is a defensive player?

A very reliable source told me that the current plan is for both Browns to go to K-State, but that UT offered Arthur and there is an outside chance they'll both be Vols.

Not to call you out but I remain skeptical of people's sources. I would think if Dooley offered Arthur a scholarship they wouldn't think twice about staying.

And if he doesnt earn it? Like several fans, you will assume Dooleys mad at him or some crap like that. I could care less either way but it sure wouldnt bother me to see him come back and ride the pine for at least a couple of games if he does.

Was A. Brown walking on to wherever he was playing or was he getting a scholly?

No, I'd probably assume he's incompetent, but we should wait and see before jumping to any conclusions.
