you can't honestly believe that... the people in this article didn't know... but since it doesn't help your cause, you're just gonna say it's all hogwash.
yeah, that cashier really has an employee-benefit program :ermm: there's no benefit to the hourly employeeHaha, I don't think badly of the little man. If these policies were hurting the little man, that would be a different story. However, without these policies, many large companies would have to significantly scale down their employee-benefits programs.

where did it say he neglected to tell his family??? it didn't.. shockingly, you just made that up to help your sideOf course it's crap. They can't insure someone without his consent and ensuing physical. His neglecting to tell his family is his business and their problem.

and again, i think we owe a lot of gratitude to these hourly employees. without them, our lives would be a ton differentWhich is why being hourly isn't the way to be. Maybe you believe one has to be hourly? One doesn't. Employers owe employees what the market will bear. If what can be borne is too little, employees have options.

yeah, expect for the fact when i was in high school, i wasn't under the employee benefit program... please don't tell me you think all those people that work at the wal marts of the world have health insurance, paid vacation, etc... the company doesn't provide it for themI don't think you understand the concept of an employee benefit program. These apply to nearly all full-time employees. They often provide health benefits, disability benefits, death benefits, prepaid legal services, vacation benefits, day care centers, scholarship funds, apprenticeship and training benefits, or other similar benefits. These are not limited to high-level executives.
and yet, somehow, the courts agreed with the other family in the article... hmmmm, wonder why...Don't be dense. They didn't know. He did because he had to consent. Just a hair of thinking led me to my conclusion. Similarly, just a tinge of inability to think led you to make such an absurd comment.

the people making money off of free labor do have a lot of gratitude to those people. they'll never show it, because they think they're better than those mere uneducated/unskilled peoplePresumably you take the same ridiculous approach to the nearly free labor pool being provided by China.

over time, they do... you just got to be there for like a year to receive it. on top of that, most of their employees aren't full time. they keep the hours just under the full-time limit for a reason, unless you're in a managerial position.
