Yeah, I'm afraid if Dooley gets hired my "x" button at the top right will get clicked for a while, and I'll just go into wait & see mode about the Tennessee program, which is so much fun. I'll still be around, but man just talk about feeling low.

i'm no great fan of gus malzahn (he hasn't made his bones yet), but hiring him would be a stroke of genius compared to hiring dooley.

I'm getting a bunch of flack from a bunch of slackjaws who know exactly dick about the guy and freaking british soccer clown.

I do know something about the guy and I want no part. End of story.

No need to copy and paste. I'm BPV. I won't be here. I won't be giving to the VASF any more. I won't be renewing my new season tickets, which I don't use, that I had to buy back, at a handsome price, because we didn't fire Fulmer when he deserved it. I won't be buying my basketball season tickets.

I have two alma maters to which I donate, but nothing like I do UT. They just got more.

I'm not threatening anyone. I'm just telling it how it is.

I'm sorry but i don't care if you give millions to tennessee or you are an 8 year old that watches every game, you stay a vols fan through the good times and the bad. I don't know the guy but i will back the university 110% because I love it. If a coach is going to change your mind about your season tickets then maybe you should just step back and figure out if you are a real fan.

This Dooley guy might not be too bad... After looking into him I found he was the RC at LSU... and is apparently a heckuva recruiter... And we certainly need someone who can recruit right now.

heckuva recruiter? How'd he do this year (his 3rd at La Tech)? Why did MSU say no? Why is UGA not after a legacy?

The upseide of Dooley is that his buyout clause will be 0 dollars and he can be fired after next season for a better coach.


Also, to all the people attacking BPV. Most of you have less than 100 posts and you're calling him out on not being a real fan? I may not always agree with him but I have a feeling he is a bigger fan then you guys. The ones with 10 posts are probably rival fans trolling the board and pretending to be Tennessee fans.

It's easy to not care who the Vols hire when you're not fans. Any real Vol fan won't be happy with the hiring of Dooley.

You're mistaking being not happy with abandoning your supposed favorite team. The only scenario that I will stop being a Tennessee fan is when they cease to exist.

Probably because they were not in a dire situation where their coach left them 3 weeks before sigining day...if you don't understand this puts us at an extreme disadvantage to naming a quality coach then I am sorry. I like you probably won't renew my season tickets, but Dooley has some upside to where it isn't a given he will be a failure.

Much better then going back to the future with Cutcliffe and the Roper brothers.

You'd think for someone who knows the area of Louisana and was such a great recruiter that he'd have a better record than 4-8. That was worse than his 5-7 season in his first year. He's doing a heck of a job.

NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING PASSIONATE, I MYSELF WOULD HAVE SHOT THAT KID ON THE SPOT,SO NOT SURE IF HE HAS ENOUGH FIRE!!! He is a young Sabanite that has done a good enough job that the Pres. gave him the AD title also. Was a Lawyer in Atlanta and raised on a football field,I say give him a shot!!! GO VOLS,AMBLES coming in today, need someone to paint the rock,ask for help!!!
