Never know, that could be how it played out.....I've seen around the net and heard a few people talking that it could have been Spurrier since Lattimore was involvedGotcha. I don't think he'll be directly connected, but the potential is there for a few calls having been made behind the scenes to get the ball rolling.
As of now we have the 5th best recruiting class according to rivals. But I completely agree with you---the damage is done regardless if they find anything or not. Interviewing commits/possible commits about this stuff might cause us to lose a couple guys. Hopefully not, but who knows.
This link got posted in the thread from Witch Doctor about the "Writer" for the NYT.
Something Stinks In Pahokee 13psi
Pretty compelling evidence about where this came from.
"Do any of you people realize how stupid you sound on this board? Kiffen gives his credit card to a female student to go to S.C. to see a recuit? And the sad part is 100 people fall right in line believing it. It's just unreal. Someone could post Kiffen had someone shot to get a recuit and there would be 50 people posting "inside info" on how the boosters distributed the money to pay for the hit. There needs to be an I.Q. test before people can post on this board. It's unreal some of the garbage people will believe. Or maybe I'm just "stupider" than the average poster. My God people, get a life!"
Easily the greatest thing I've seen on Catspause.
During my time at Tennessee I was a hostess and my daughter is currently a hostess at MS State and I will assure you I nor she has done anything against any rule. I would go as far as to say most do not. I do know that every organization, every business, every family, every whatever has those who do not follow the rules and it makes life hard on everyone. Please everyone let this play out before any judgments are made. I cannot say it didn't happen......I cannot say it did....I was not there. It just surprises me they are picking at the small details off the field and not addressing the bigger issues especially on the field. Case in point....bad calls determining outcome of the games.....players trying to physcially injury another player.........I personally think they need to be looking at what happens on the field and when they get the game following the rules then look at the other things. Okay I feel better now that I have vented.
I hadn't heard the story about the hit the Boss ordered to get the recruit. That could be yet another secondary violation unless the mark was a booster, then I'm not sure how the NCAA would view that.

Didn't Kentucky actually get in trouble a few years ago because their fans were using facebook and myspace to recruit?
