Out coached.

The coaching staff has been put in as tough a position as they can be. They were given nothing to work with at QB, and they have to try to build something with it. Yes, it's hard to watch right now, but Kiffin knows what he's doing, and if he doesn't, his experienced staff should be helping him out. If he says Crompton is truly the better QB, then he's going to stick with him, and I'm going to watch what happens. Remember, as was said in another thread, Rome wasn't built in a day, give the guy a chance to get some of his players in his systems.

You've gotta be kidding me?

No. I'm not. It's unreal what kind of expectations you guys have with the ineptitude of the players on the offensive side of the ball (with some exceptions). You guys are calling out the coaching already when the players last year were generally the same and you're seeing the same results you saw last year. Tell me what the hell else it is if it wasn't a lot of piss poor lazy recruiting. The offensive line is not deep, the QB position needs no explanation, and the receivers are either overrated or just simply uninterested in getting better regardless of the scheme in place.

Lack of SEC talent at key positions, especially OL and QB.

Thats not why the special teams still sucks.

It is when half the players they put out there are on the defensive side of the field that's been out there all damn night and the rest are lame backups with no business wearing a UT uniform. I said it the game thread, trust me....you do NOT want to fire Eddie Gran.

don't see much on auburns team either or ucla either but they still are finding ways to win. not impressive at all. by the way game over and season along with it with that play there. lane won't make many friends in knoxville this year basically giving up on the season.

Are you kidding? We're starting walkons, tight ends, and injured guys on the OL. Their units are far superior and have been for years. Last year was an exception for UCLA because they had about 10 offseason injuries on the OL. That wasn't the case this year.

I thought Laney made a good halftime adjustment by changing his pullover from black to orange. Guess this game just wasn't meant to be. Oh yeah, a huge factor in the loss was wearing all orange uniforms.

I think our OL has performed competently so far. The defense has been very good. Our passing game, Crompton and the WR's, have been poor. With average play from them we are 4-1. The play calls have been good. Guys have been open tonight, and either Crompton will throw behind them or the WR will drop it.

I am not saying I don't like Kiffin, but I am wondering what the hell they work on in practice. The same mistakes are made every week.

1 - Special Teams: blocked XP, missed FG, personal foul penalty, 2 short punts, and 2 long kickoff returns surrendered. Our special teams get worse every week.

2 - Outside contain!!!! I don't understand how we can avoid forcing the play back inside week after week. It's like we try. Chris Walker has no clue how to keep contain. Gerald Williams allowed Ben Tate to turn a 10 yard loss into an 8 yard gain. Rico McCoy should have had a stop for no gain, but whoops, the guy fakes inside, cuts back out and there's 7 points for you Auburn. YOU HAVE HELP INSIDE, FORCE THE PLAY BACK INSIDE!

3 - WR drops. I don't care if Crompton isn't putting them on the money, if you get your hands on the ball, you catch it.

These are discipline problems. These are not personnel problems. We can't blame these on Phil. This is our current staff's problems.

I love you Lane. I stand by you, but in case you haven't noticed the first 2 have been issues all year. These shouldn't be hard to rectify.
