Kiffin Was Right

I just hope the animosity doesn't get taken out on the young players too much.

I honestly believe if the animosity is taken out on players it will be the Vols dishing it the best they can. Months and months of hearing how bad they are going to get beat has to affect them more than the FL players hearing the same tired comment replayed.

The Vols are about to go 1-2 and lose for the fifth straight time to its biggest rival.

Yet, Vol fans are celebrating and calling their coach a genius. Bizarre.

Wanting to draw even more attention to a game where a once-great program is 30-point underdogs in a game is even more bizarre.

I'm stunned at how strong the Kiffin Koolaid is in Knoxville. I wonder if its effects will wear off by Saturday afternoon.

We're rebuilding. You know, kinda like the Gators did for the majority of the last century. You'll change your tune when our consecutive top 5-10 recruiting classes begin to show up on the field.

I am stunned that you and your brethren still haven't realized what TN fans are excited about..maybe we have a new staff that has got our flat lined pulse beeping again, maybe we have gained enough attention that we are competing and winning nationally sought after recruits.
But chances are you are smarter than me, so I should just give up and switch teams like you probably did because this year we aren't on top..

Hey ass wipe, Kiffin pulled in a top 10 recruiting class last year, this year he has the #3 class so far.
It takes a while to overcome Fulmers complacency. Check back in a few years and see what he does.

We get some more 4 stars? What's your point...

The Seminoles have been signing top-rated recruiting classes full of 4 and 5-star players for years. Yet, they now routinely lose 5 games a year. (Oh, and they're 1-1 after losing to an unranked team, just like the Vols).

The Seminoles also went out and got a "dream team" of assistant coaches -- supposedly the best in the business.

Ron Zook had top-rated recruiting classes as well. Yet, he consistently lost to teams that were loads with 2-star talent. Similar to the Seminoles, Ron Zook surround himself with outstanding assistants (including Charlie Strong who has since coached 2 MNCs teams).

Recruiting classes and great assistants do not win championships unless the team is led by a good coach.

Once the Kiffin Koolaid wears off, the Vols will figure that out.

My point is that UT will no longer be talked about after Saturday unless they win. Otherwise they'll dwindle back into irrelevancy. :ermm:

Wrong. Look at what happened last week. This game is not a make or break game when it comes to recruiting (which is where games are won and lost).

The recruiting season is a long way from being over. At this point quanity is more relevant that quality. On NSD that'll change.

Um yeah, have you noticed how many 4*/potential 5* players we have commited?

We have quality AND quantity. Maybe you should check out the recruiting forum and get up to speed.

What happened? You lost, and as soon as the game concluded every sports analyst began hyping the Florida game. After the game tomorrow, unless UT pulls out a victory, they will no longer be talked about. Not a knock on UT by any means, but that's the truth of it.

BTW, after tomorrow when is UT's next nationally televised game?

Or we can call out Saban, Chizik, Richt.. Plenty of oppurtunity's to keep us in the spotlight and making these young athlete's respect the T

Does that mean that you and the rest of the morons will find a different teams site to infect? If not then you have made yourself a hypocrite and you can add that to your resume right beneath king of idiots

Auburn in 2 weeks. They are all televised after that until the end of the season.

UT wont end up with a 5* athlete from Rivals or ESPN. I don't pay much attention to Scout because their rankings are trash.

UT has an average star ranking of 3.57. Good, byt not great. UT probably wont end up in the top 5. Not a knock, just truth.

Ron Zook did the same during his tenure. Gator fans were just as excited as your guys are.

Bobby Bowden has been pulling in Top 10 recruiting classes consistently for years.

Per Rivals the Noles got:

2005 #2
2006 #3
2007 #21
2008 #9
2009 #7

How's the working for them?

We sure in the spot light now! Good or bad is the question. Seems like we are the joke of the day for all the announcers. Kiffin is now a joke to them too. I am not sure it is a good thing. Now if FL beats us down I am sure more people watched because we have been talked about all week. More jokes for next week! Hopefully everyone will shut up after that.

Very true, and I will be worried about that when Bowden or Zook are coaching TN bringing in great recruiting classes and doing nothing with them.... Until then, I am anxious to see what Lane Kiffin is going to do in the next couple years. Last time I checked he was the HC

Thought so.

Who said I was a fan of Florida?

Anyhow, if Florida makes it to the SECCG half of their 14 games would have been played on national television. The rest of their games would have been played on local markets. UF has more televised games than any team in the SEC.

Congrats. You've have just won the award for the most disgusting post in VN history.

You are wrong. I see how Tebow Goes to Coach Urbam after every game to get his aproval and i believe he plays for his coach. Don't pick my post apart. You need to get out of the gutter.

Its obvious that if you aren't a gator fan that you are the type of person who will be one if they win it all this year, and claim to have been one forever.

Thats right once great program that went into the game with their coachs' tail tucked between his legs thats why we have lost the last 4 once a coach doesnt believe he can win its hard too
So yeah its nice to see what CLK is doing with recruiting and his confidence it has to rub off on his players because it has the fans read the article vols have won the war on go vols xtra especially the part where Fulmer was shaking in the elevator and clausen our QB had to tell the coach not to worry thats screwed up
