Who really has the Pressure in The Swamp????

You have no clue. There is zero pressure on us. We're expected to be blown out by 100. Florida has said they will go undefeated and win a NC. It may rain Saturday (Tebow hates rain). There are no expectations from the fans. The sum total of the amount of pressure on UT is exactly, ZERO.

It's all on UF, and in a big way.

I fail to see how the pressure is on Florida "in a big way". UT may not have much if any pressure since, yeah, we're supposed to get blown out, but that doesn't mean Florida has all this "pressure" on them.

All the crap that has taken over the spotlight of the game for the last 3 months, has added pressure to the game for UF.

1. They are playing for the SEC championship. - favorite
2. They are playing for a NC. - favorite
3. They are playing for their first undefeated season in school history. - favord to do this as well.
4. Tebow is expected to be in the race for another Heisman.

Now, instead of beating a team that is behind them in talent by a few classes, by 10 to 20 points, people are expecting it to be 40 or more. And in some cases on this board and other places 60.

If Fulmer & Crew were coaching, I'd say 47-7.

With Kiffin & Co., I am going to say more like 40-13.

Does the comments made by CLK, affect the score? In your opinion?

The reason I ask, is eveyone has placed this UF win at a higher amount, because of CLKs remarks. And for that reason UM will run it up. I don't question wiether or not he will. Im suggesting that it doesn't matter. It didn't when he run up 59 on CPF, he never called him out.

It doesn't matter if Kiffin had said anything or not. Its a painful mismatch we have to endure. Lol, its not like he held back the last two years in a row, they've beat us bad both years. The Vols shouldn't have any real pressure on them. They're expected to get their doors blowed off. If they jump on us early then its over. The longer we stay in it, which may not be for long the more interesting it becomes. The fact is this one is just about a mismatch all the way across the board. It will take a minor miracle to pull this one off.

The score? Hmmmm.... Well, I would be willing to say that I think it will affect the initial intensity in the game, but only for a few minutes until everybody calms down. I suppose that could result in a score. A lot of penalties wouldn't surprise me.

I just think Kiffin & Co. represent a big improvement in your coaching and so I am shaving a score off of what I would have put us at and adding one to your total to guesstimate it.

Ultimately, this could end up being the best D that I can remember across the board. The depth I was concerned about has dissapated also. These guys carry big sticks and they will get monumentally better each game....yes, even the Fl game

Great D! This D is championship caliber if they had any O at all to go along with them. Last year's D was pretty good too. Shame they stayed on the field all last season.

Our team as a whole doesn't have any pressure because nobody expects anything from them. I will argue about the QB though. If you play as badly as he did last week you have pressure! Our coaching staff doesn't have the pressure they would have if they would have beaten UCLA. Again, we don't expect much from our team on Sat.
FL will have pressure if TN some how gives them a game early on. I don't see that happening but it's possible in football. If FL gets off early they will never look back. Their band will have pressure playing Rocky Top correctly if they actually do it.
I've said it before and I will again. The team expected to win always has pressure but I just don't think FL has all that much to worry about. Hope I don't have a clue and am wrong though. GO VOLS.

I think you are spot on.

I don't believe that pressure on either side will produce a win or loose, as this is Big time SEC and every game is played under pressure

I agree!

Pressure is 2nd nature to Florida, hell they've won 2 of the last 3 MNC's, I think they handle pressure pretty well.

stranger things have happened.. unfortunately, we are usually on the wrong side of those strange things that happen.

GOOD LUCK, CROMPTON & GO VOLS!!

There's more pressure on UT to back up Kiffin's prediction of singing Rocky Top in Gainesville all night.

For the record, that was never a "prediction". He was talking about embracing UT traditions in his speech, and he said that after mentioning the Vol Walk. He was just exciting the fans, and thinking that this was in any way him making a bold prediction or guaranteeing a victory is stretching the truth. It's the media's way of making something out of nothing.

People forget that there was more to the speech about "singing Rocky Top all night...."...Seems to me Kiffin then turned to Hamilton and made the comment that the A.D made him say that or something to that affect and everyone kind of laughed...It's been awhile since I saw the complete footage but I'm pretty sure that's what was said....If Meyer and his defending NC football team or fans need that as motivation, then that's on them....

Well said. :good!:

Hate to bring it up BUT #8 in the white jersey has the weight of the world on his shoulders this saturday. He's a student of the game. He studies football alot. He knows what bad qb play looks like. There's been tons of stories written about his improvements over this offseason and after the egg he laid last week he knows he has alot to prove to his teammates and his coaches...piss on everybody else. I'm pulling for him...but I be damned if I'd leave any qb in the game that as a head coach/playcaller, I dont feel like I can call a pass play after 12 straight runs. Good luck 8...dont do your infamous lawnchair impression.

Lol! Allrighty then. He was trying to take the pressure away from the kids and put it on himself. Unfortunately, his "kids" are going to be the whipping boys this weekend. No pressure there!

As for the "any publicity is good publicity" angle, good luck with that. Besides, I've noticed that he shut his yap after being smacked down by the SEC Commish and the press. Maybe he forgot your maxim. Either that, or he is a genius, waiting for next opportunity to put his middle-aged frat boy costume back on and pee in the neighbor's bushes again.

Urban Meyer is a crybaby. Gotcha. Cryer rhymes with Meyer, so it must be true. You UT folks aren't even original. FSU started that little ditty a couple of years back.

The four week recruiting spree was an ambush, pure and simple. Judging by what came out of your head coach's mouth in front of the cameras, there's no telling what was spewed at young kids on the recruiting trail, away from microphones and cameras. Seriously, he made a bloody fool of himself and UT in front of the nation, by not knowing a lick about the NCAA recruting rules, breaking them while accusing others of breaking them. He probably stomped all over those rules in kid's living rooms as well. Those kids don't have a lie detector on their kitchen table, but they'll have plenty of SEC coaches around to set them straight, especially now that those SEC coaches know what they're dealing with.

Kiffin has a reputation of saying what he needs to say and shrugging later, after he's been exposed. The problem is that people take the snake oil home, drink a sip, and instead of growing hair, their genitals fall off, just like UT football's will do. The SEC coaches now know what Kiffin is all about, and they'll be more than happy to show him how the big boys work it. Heck, there's plenty of SEC has-beens on the trash heap after recruiting stellar classes. At least one is on your coaching staff. So, you'd better hope that he recruits well for the next 2 years, because your next coach needs something to work with.

Like I said in another thread, it's one thing having a 5-star, porn star package, but if you don't know how to use it, you're not going anywhere. Lane Kiffin's erectile dysfunction will be on display for all kids to see over the next couple of years, and he'll soon take his little snake oil wagon to the next unsuspecting town in about 3 years, when the suckers in Knoxville dry up, just like he has from Oakland.

I don't have an issue with you having dreams, though. Everyone has to have hope in the future. So, enjoy your hopes and dreams... while losing.

I don't care if UF wins by one point, just so long as they win. On the other hand, losing by 14 points would be considered a victory by many here. Such is the state of UT football...
Cryer, hum? D you sense a trend? Glad to know we are not making up his sweet disposition. Oh, and the term "ambush", that you used to describe this staff is accurate. Final note before bed: You just hung out all night on your opponents fan site WRITING ANOTHER football version of "war and Peace" about CLK's percieved disgressions and how it wasn't a smart move. Why aren't you somewhere else? Ah, I know, can't put it down, huh? Now, explain to me again why what he said was stupid and how it didn't take the pressure off of the players and AMBUSH recruiting. Seems ya'll can't quit talking about him. Imagine THAT!!!!!

By the way, everyone but UT fans see what's going on. UT couldn't find a proven, championship caliber coach, so they hired a pretty face and threw cash at assistants who were proven recruiters. That way, the cupboard will be full when a real coach becomes available. They'll then flush the frat boy like a steaming load of excrement, and snap up that coach asap. UT fans will go along, because after 2 or 3 seasons of EPIC FAIL, they'll be ready for a change.
Observation: hate like that b4 the ball is even snapped seems to indicate he's in your head. Plus, you sound stupid. I mean, if you really believe that ya'll will whip our arse by triple digits, why would you want us to get a new coach? Yep, Kiffs got ya'll consumed!!!!
