Crompton may be new to Kiffin, but he's been around for 5 years. We've seen this script before with JC. Maybe Kiffin can do something with him. They at least have some film they can look at and see that he obviously stares his receivers down and makes the wrong read half the time.[/QUOTE]
that's a fact my friend:good!:
He is a college kid giving his all for the team and the university. People like you should crawl back under the rock you slithered out from under.Get a life and shut up!

I saw that. He looked like he was prepared for a lot of situations but what he was seeing wasn't on the list.
That's fine but the topic here is the personal crap he's gotten from some of the lunatic fringe so called fans. That's uncalled for. If he can't get the job done put somebody else in at that position and move along. All the name calling and death threats shouldn't be happening.
My respect for Coach Kiffin just went up several notches.
Based on quite a few of the posts I've seen on this site, hate is probably a fair word to use. It's unfortunate that some fans can't separate their dissatisfaction with a player's performance from the actual person.
.....don't hammer him like he isn't a human being. Use the "Golden Rule" and treat him as if you'd want your son or daughter to be treated, please.
Kiffin simply is surprised that fans are that angered and irate over the play of a 22 year old amateur athlete...
Exactly, i believe Kiffin thought JC would make a few mistakes here & there but i think Kiffin never thought it would snow ball the way it did. It was like Kiffin saw a completely different Crompton out their from Spring & Fall practice & he didnt know how it happened.
These are good posts and/or thoughts.
This is a young man who is trying to get it done. If he can't do the job, criticize the QB's play, demand better play, demand a new QB, or whatever other course of action that you think would make the team better.
But it may be wise to criticize the QB play and not the kid.
If a man from Stinking Creek can back compton......than so can i.......that is all.
Yes, I'm pulling for compton, whoever he is, and Crompton, also.
I've not been particularly pleased with his QB play, to put it mildly.
But I don't criticize his mental capabilities, call him names or wish bad things on him. Or some of the other things I've read here.
He's a kid, or a very young man.
Hate is too strong a word. People want to see a competent player at the QB position for a change and get emotional.
Not to mention he's a fifth year senior who obviously loves the school and has waited for his turn to play. I feel badly for him and hope he pulls it all together and has a great season the rest of the way.
