People are sad as hell. He's no QB, but he's a Vol. Let the man suck in peace.

I really don't get the immaturity that comes along with college football fans. Especially Tennessee fans. Why bash someone that is not even getting paid. He is a student athlete. Hell, you don't even see NFL QBs take as much crap as Crompton has for sucking. Look at Cutler he threw 3 interceptions on Sunday night. He will undoubtedly be the starter next week. Yes, he has proven himself but Crompton looked great in week one and very well could come back next week and look good again. Will he loose a couple games for us this year? Of course. But will Peyton Manning lose any games for the colts this year and a have a couple interceptions? Yes. I am just saying that anyone on here that thinks that he was going to go for the Heisman this year is crazy! He had a bad game. GET OVER IT! I would rather see a half empty stadium with true fans that understand the VOLS are our states team and that they are "kids" that do not deserve to be bashed and have their names dragged in the mud over a game. I am a true VOL and will always support my team. I said in the beginning that this year was going to be ruff because we did not have a QB that can play at a championship level. I also heard all of you say the same thing and cannot understand what made everyone think that it was all of the sudden going to change overnight. CLK might be good but he is not going to turn Crompton into a Heisman QB in 6 months.
I just cannot find any sympathy for Crompton at this point. Some of you will label me a negavol or a jerk. But I'd love to see him succeed (was so happy after WKU)... but let's be real here.
He has received a free education.
He accepted and is starting in the leadership role of the team. Yet he has not accepted responsibility (as someone else noted ... Tebow did. That's leading.)
He's a 5th year senior.
He gave away the UCLA game with 3 (almost 4) interceptions. Sure the O-Line play wasn't stellar by any means... but he missed open receivers and threw into heavy coverage all day long.
He's a grown man and he is failing. In this instance I think the criticism is warranted.
If he wants the signs to go away, he will play better. Performance does a lot for fans (especially intoxicated college students) -- evidence just see WKU game.
And the Facebook stuff is his own doing. He shouldn't allow random people to be his friends on FB. Welcome to the internet, JC, people are jerks all the time.
