Key Notes:
- Naomi White (Northern Arizona) is the biggest scoring threat, with 20.8 PPG last season and a strong 2026-27 projection Rocky Top Insider.
- Avery Mills and Kaylene Smikle are both experienced scorers, with Mills adding 15.3 PPG last year Rocky Top Insider.
- Fatamata Janneh (Texas A&M) brings rebounding and scoring potential, averaging 11.4 PPG and 9.7 rebounds last season Rocky Top Insider.
- Riley Makalusky (West Virginia) is a high-upside freshman forward; her scoring will likely develop over the season.
- Several freshmen (Minus, Steele, Eads, Oboavwoduo, Moore, Fauntleroy) are unproven scorers; their production will depend on development and minutes.
- Harper Peterson is a low-scoring but high-rebound forward; her scoring will likely be modest.
Overall Projection:
If all projected scoring holds, Tennessee’s 2026-27 team could average
~18–20 PPG from starters, with White and Mills as primary offensive engines, supported by Smikle, Janneh, and Makalusky. The roster’s mix of experienced scorers and developing talent offers a balanced offensive attack, though depth and minutes for freshmen will be key to success.
AI projects our top scorer to be White, followed by Mills and Smikle. Looks like the next two Rylie, Janneh and Harissoum are projected as double digit scorers as well. Low expectations for Irene O., Fauntleroy, Eads, and Steele. If the percentages are right I would totally be willing to accept these projections as this would be a team that had a big winning season. Having six double digit scorers and two more just on the outside would be outstanding. Hopefully we will see something close to this next season.
