Plus Kevin said if the old staff was here there’s no way his son was signing with Tennessee. The thought was planted not to come long before the new staff got here.

He was an Assistant in Player Development on staff with Pruitt. What all that entailed Idk.

I’m not sure Heupel had a choice. Pruitt’s staff was cleaned out.

It sounds like Kevin has a decent relationship with Heupel because it’s been reported that some of his input helped Heupel fire Banks.

Remember Dillon Bates? Son of former Vol stud Bill Bates? Or Nigel Warrior? Son of former Vol stud Dale Carter? There is no real reason to lose sleep or be upset over losing this guy. Yeah it sucks he is going to Bama. But this is a different generation of college football now. Just because he is a legacy recruit doesn’t mean he is going to be as good as their fathers.

This isn’t a huge loss.
