I’m not sure Heupel had a choice. Pruitt’s staff was cleaned out.

It sounds like Kevin has a decent relationship with Heupel because it’s been reported that some of his input helped Heupel fire Banks.

Remember Dillon Bates? Son of former Vol stud Bill Bates? Or Nigel Warrior? Son of former Vol stud Dale Carter? There is no real reason to lose sleep or be upset over losing this guy. Yeah it sucks he is going to Bama. But this is a different generation of college football now. Just because he is a legacy recruit doesn’t mean he is going to be as good as their fathers.

This isn’t a huge loss.

Not going to hate him or his Dad, though the level of his VFL status will be up for review. Bet his invitation to view practices goes away.

One better candidate at his position will mitigate the loss for most in this fanbase.
