That it doesn't matter what he says as long as you're taking about him. He's flipping terrible at his job yet there's still about 30% who think he's doing a great job. Selling pure **** to the American people on a daily basis
Clear and blatant violation of the Logan Act here. Why is she not in jail?
As noted a few days ago, I don’t believe brilliance had anything to do with him winning. He is an abomination of a human being and nobody in their right mind would elect someone like him except for the fact that:Trump was brilliant enough to get 77 million votes. And that’s why he is our leader until January 2029
3. it was the Republicans turn. 8 years of Obama lead to 4 years of Trump. 4 years of Trump lead to 4 years of Biden. 4 years of Biden lead to 4 more years of Trump. it didn't start with Obama, but that was the relevant timeline. As noted a few days ago, I don’t believe brilliance had anything to do with him winning. 1-The other choice was terrible. I still believe this country is not ready to elect a woman President much less a minority female. Trump’s two wins are against women and that is a telling statistic.
2- There are a ton of people in this country who are easily conned and Trump is an absolute expert at that game. Been making a fortune out of it his entire career. Says a lot that resonates with certain folks (rich and poor) who feel they are losing their power and/or place in the current culture. (How the religious folks support such an irreligious lout is a mystery. Makes me question just how religious they really are.) And all you have to do is look at the incompetent sycophants that he installed in the cabinet to know what an incompetent manager he is.
Again, he should never been elected under normal conditions but here we are.
1. The Republicans tried to get a black woman elected Governor on Virginia but the white liberals in the DC suburbs were having none of that. Plus, the democrat party will not even say what a woman is exactly. If Newsom were to win in 2028 and then state that he now identifies as a woman, does that count? As noted a few days ago, I don’t believe brilliance had anything to do with him winning. Coulda, woulda, shoulda. When this country elects a female President, get back to me and we’ll talk. Until then, the point stands. Trump beat 2 females who stood no shot at winning and I’m convinced he got a lot of votes both times from people who will not vote for a woman for President.3. it was the Republicans turn. 8 years of Obama lead to 4 years of Trump. 4 years of Trump lead to 4 years of Biden. 4 years of Biden lead to 4 more years of Trump. it didn't start with Obama, but that was the relevant timeline.
4. The Democrats 100% played Trump's game. by keeping the focus on Trump, and off the issues, they negated their biggest hook with the middle 50%. Trump would have dried up shouting on the corner if the Dems hadn't kept shoving the microphone in his face. Biden largely won because he didn't engage with Trump in the first race; hiding and doing almost literally nothing against Trump was the Dems winning strategy. Biden got pulled when they engaged Trump in the debate, they could have snuck in another term of Biden had they played the same card. I think they got too comfortable.
your #1 is weak. I think if there was a decent candidate, who happened to be female, they would have won. Hilary was universally despised/not trusted and that was before we knew what a Trump presidency looked like. Had Hillary waited until 2020 to run against Trump she might have won. Kamala was literally the DEI pick at VP, and then shoved into the race, she was set for failure. Michelle Obama would have wiped the floor with Trump. really any charismatic female would have done better than Kamala and hot sauce Hilary practicing their fake accents. I will grant you that America isn't ready for a female president who makes a big deal out of her being a female president. best way to handle a question from the press would be to move on and never bring it up again. identity politics isn't a winning ticket, and I would argue it never should be.
Congrats. You have more tolerance than me for voting for trash human beings. When faced with that choice, I’ll sit out as I have since 2016. Not voting for someone who in no way deserves my vote.1. 2) the most religious president of my lifetime was Jimmy Carter. Would loved to have him as a neighbor or to attend Church with him. He was also, before Biden at least, the single worst President of my lifetime. When I go to vote in a National election, I am not voting for Sunday School teacher, I am voting for a president who I hope will run the country in an effective way.
Yes, Trump is not a good person. And I have never voted for him in a primary. But I had zero hesitation voting for him against Hillary, Biden, or Kamala Harris.
if they stood no shot of winning under their own merits why should America vote for them? To literally just make the claim that we have a woman president? that is some whacked form of equality you believe in.Coulda, woulda, shoulda. But I also think point #2 is more important. He conned a lot of folks with the language they believe and wanted to hear. Never mind what a miserable human being he is.
I do totally get your sentiment and can see where you are coming from.Congrats. You have more tolerance than me for voting for trash human beings. When faced with that choice, I’ll sit out as I have since 2016. Not voting for someone who in no way deserves my vote.
Not sure what the equality comment has to do with anything. I’d vote for the right woman but Hillary and Kamala sure weren’t the right ones especially for a lot of conservatives and even moderates. Just the way it is. Again, let me know when a woman wins and we can discuss it further.if they stood no shot of winning under their own merits why should America vote for them? of course he conned people. I have yet to see a president who didn't rely on conning people to get into office. Obama was a well spoken black person according to Biden. Biden was sharp as a tack. Hillary was the most qualified person to ever run. you think any of that were cons?
Absolutely agree with you. I voted in every election in local races (and mostly Republican) but I just won’t pull the lever for reprehensible people. Never going to happen.I do totally get your sentiment and can see where you are coming from.
I am quite cynical but haven’t quite reached the point of not voting yet.
The thing Americans really have to start doing IMO is getting involved before the primaries. The only hope we have is for the parties to at least give us some decent candidates. Something neither party has done for quite some time now.
you living under a rock the last 3/4 years? Everyone was swearing Biden was good to go right up until the debate. Not sure what the equality comment has to do with anything. I’d vote for the right woman but Hillary and Kamala sure weren’t the right ones especially for a lot of conservatives and even moderates. Just the way it is. As far as reasons to vote for anybody, why should America have voted for Trump or Biden? Neither were worth squat. Trump beat two women and lost to the only man he faced and a very weak one at that. (Biden was sharp as a tack? In what universe?)
What I’m saying is that given the choice of Trump or any woman, there are still a lot of folks that will NOT vote for a woman for President under any circumstance and that is one reason why Trump won. Add that to conning people with what they want to hear and that’s why we are in this position. Not because of Trump’s brilliance. Which was the comment the other poster made.
