I’m with you on this.
Like both but Bleu cheese just make them tastier for me.

I love the rich, earthy, salty flavor of a good blue cheese on salad, steak, stuffed in olives, with charcuterie, and definitely complimenting a tongue-torching buffalo wing.

Notice how you never see "ranch butter" as a compliment in high-end steakhouses and there's no such thing as Cool Blue Cheese Doritos?

One is made with the ingredients aged in caves with critical temperature/humidity and carefully churned and fermented. The other is often mixed from a powder in a foil pouch.

To each his/her own.

Let's give credit where credit is due - the cool ranch Dorito is a marvel of modern science.

I do like a good Blue Cheese dressing. However, commonly offered blue cheese itself in local markets is often hard to eat on its own. But, I had some real stuff from France at a wine tasting over at Arrington Vineyards. That really changed my mind on blue cheese. The proper imported stuff. Mild, smooth and creamy. Not your everyday blue cheese flavor and pungency. It was:

However, as with my steaks, if I have to dip it...it ain't cooked right.

As far as wings in general we prefer Tyler Florence's Chili Lime Cilantro sauce. Primo and addictive.

normally don't dip my wings. but if presented the choice above, ranch all day every day.

that blue cheese funk does not go with chicken, it combats the flavoring way too much. I have tried it with no seasoning/sauce on the wings, buffalo, and lemon pepper. there may be some combo out there that works, but anything I have ever had was worse with blue cheese dipping sauce.

just in general blue cheese dipping sauce is flawed. you get little chunks of blue cheese mixed in with the mayo/sour cream and you don't always get a consistent flavor. for what it is ranch flavoring will at least be consistent flavoring wise throughout.

Neither. Save your calories for more wings. I'll go with ranch if it's too much heat, but people over-use dressing and sauce. If the wings are good, you don't need ranch. If the pizza is good, you don't need ranch. If the sushi is good, you don't need soy sauce. If the steak is good, it doesn't need sauce. Etc.

You have some terrible takes, this may be your worst.

I agree about the steak and sushi (to a degree).

Even if you love how it tastes, you only get so many calories til you're a fatass and I'd much rather have 6 more wings than ranch on the first 12.

And furthermore, people who put ranch on pizza need to go to jail.

If you're a lazy POS maybe, then yea.
