2026 Vols Transfer Portal Thread

Basilio looks like Nostradamus compared to Zach... I don't have anything against the guy but he just has a free AI summarize a paragraph with a bunch of stuff other reporters like VQ, 247 do and post it with a click bait title. Dude has cracked the code for lazy money which good for him. Listen to the podcast he does with Charlie and it's glaringly obvious they have zero idea and always cite AP, Callahan, and Basilio.
Yeah, this is more like what I mean. I have no hate for him or anything, I just don’t find his articles helpful since I pay attention here

Mempho, baby! The King…..there were others!
So when I went back to Memphis after college I played in a full contact off line of scrimmage flag league. King had a team. He was qb. Jeff Jarrett played. Fabulous Ones and others. Sid Vicious was OL and would just shove us to the ground on the snap. King had a surprisingly good arm.

Two of my cousins knew Lawler pretty well. He could be an arrogant guy. Guess it goes with the territory.

I dated McDowell’s ex-girlfriend when I was at UTHSC. She had some interesting stories about him. Hope all is well with his health.

Interesting fact about Lawler, he is a very good artist. When he was very young his parents were good friends with family members of mine in Memphis. They would get together and play cards and Jerry would just sit around and draw them at the card table….he still has The King” on his license plates.

With how perimeter oriented the our big signings have been, our bigs should get some great looks and an endless about of 1 on 1s in the post. I think guys like Brown, Lue, Haralson (JH less so) are tailor made for the 4/small ball 5 spot when we spam the PNR/horns action and look for our big to either slash or make a second pass to a shooter. A big offseason from brown and I think he shocks a lot of people with his value next season.
I think there’s probably a reason he was the only guy they made it a priority to retain

Being from West TN, I used to follow Memphis State during the Keith Lee, Elliot Perry days.
There were other good/legendary names during those times I can't recall off the top of my head.
Kelvin Allen, Billy Smith, Todd Mundt, Ernest Smith, Ben Spiva…..

I grew up 30 min from Shelby County. Followed Tiger High some during that run
