I don’t gamble but had a friend who bet on Hawaii for years everytime at home and against them on the road and seems like he won at a 75% clip.

Until this, I can't think of anything in my life that would qualify them as a "major problem". mild irritant fits better.

they were a major problem with the kidnappings in the 70s, after that though its been a whole lot of nothing. I can't think of a single year where they would have been a Top 5 issue, and really only once even as a Top 10.

Tariffs, Covid, IRA, ACA, Afghanistan, Iraq War 2, Desert Storm, ISIS, heck the Evergrande getting stuck in the Suez was more impactful than Iran has been. China a problem. Heck Iran hasn't even made it to NK levels of testing nukes & missiles, and most people are calling NK a major issue.
