Iran

Do you think you have it tougher than a poor person? lol.
Nah, but I’ve grown up in a house hold as a child with a single mom and a sibling and we had less than the “poor” because they had assistance and we had to get by.

There’s government subsidized homes that are 4 miles from my house that are nicer than a majority of the subdivisions surrounding it.

My childhood taught me the value of a dollar and I’ve worked my tail off to not have to worry about money now. Luckily my mother is in a far better financial position as well. My sibling ended up being successful also; but now she’s in an even more important position and that’s being a marvelous mother to two babies.

In America, no matter your circumstances; there is a path to be successful.

So Trump keeps extending the ceasefire while he desperately pleads for the war to end. Poor old Iran getting TONS of time to reposition assets and rearm. Trump 5D Risk the boardgame strategy really paying dividends..like those tarrif dividend checks yall got. Lol
How does your Iranian cheerleading uniform fit?

While a decent amount do, not everyone wants to move here, believe it or not. And that is independent of people hating on America due to our foreign policy.

Also, this sense of superiority is nauseating to a lot of foreigners, especially ones from countries that arguably have a greater quality of life than we do in Europe or Asia.
No offense but why should we care. The best European cultures live a B+ kind of lifestyle and that’s only due to rich small white people groups who pay a lot and have oil.

Japan has a great culture due to their actual culture and there are a few “rich” countries due to oil in ME but lives under barbaric cultures (Israel included)

The rest of the world outside of those dozen countries literally don’t matter to how we live or what we believe.

The US is the best country and always will be despite its issues (which are self inflicted to begin with)

F these people

I work at a food pantry in Unicoi County. I know better. There are over 80 people in the county sleeping outdoors after the flood. STILL.
Weird since there were tons of NGOs given money to help those people. Hmmmm but they are still better off than most of the world’s poor. By far

Oh... and this...

Seems I agree more with the Iranians than our feckless US leaders on this one!

And, oh BTW, Trump is ready to flush every Republican congressman down the drain come November. Seems apropos.

Later, in the Oval Office, he [The Orange Menace] seemed to hint the US was ready for a long haul, telling CNN’s Kaitlan Collins the Iran war could end “on a similar timetable” as the war in Ukraine – a more than four-year conflict that shows no signs of abating anytime soon.

I’m not trying to state that isn’t true, but we don’t do everything better than everyone. The world is becoming more and more developed, and if we sit on our asses measuring our own dicks everyday instead of acknowledging rooms for improvement, we’ll just end up another empire in decline.

Quality of life is subjective, hence why I said arguably. But it’s well documented that Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, UK, France, Japan etc, have equal if not better living standards than the average American.

Let’s see your logical argument that proclaims the average person in France has a higher standard of living than the average person here. I’ll wait…

That wasn’t my argument, but feel free to argue with yourself like you always do.

You: “Have equal, if not better living standards”

Me: show your work

You: I didn’t say that!!!

Lmfao…okay buddy. Take your ball and go home.

And when did I explicitly say that France specifically, has higher living standards than Americans? The “if not better” caveat wasn’t specific to France buddy. But it’s convenient for you to pick a country and hyperbolize my stance to make yourself feel intelligent.

Typical @Vol8188 always trying to frame the argument in his favor and hoping people take the bait.

You could show they’re equal or greater. That’s fair. Instead you just cried and took your ball and went home. The same level of pathetic as always

I’m going to be transparent with you. I don’t like having discussions with you. I hardly see eye to eye with someone like @hog88, but he doesn’t twist, bend, and consistently reframe discussions to his advantage using every logical fallacy known to man to come off as intelligent in the way you do. Nor does he have a condescending demeanor when committing those same fallacies.

I can certainly discuss how the standard of living for the average French citizen is comparable to the average American, but that would involve a lot of nuance, and taking into consideration of life expectancy, vacation time, healthcare access, overall fear of financial ruin, public services, and so on. But I don’t see how that conversation goes beyond you picking one or two points that are most convenient to you, insinuating a narrative that I have, and trying to argue against that narrative.

I don’t have time for that. I’d rather hear hogs take on why Lincoln is evil.

So you're upset that you mother either chose not use the programs that existed, or was ignorant of their existence?

Lmao no one is attempting to twist anything. I originally responded to Hog, you chose to include me. So I find your sad story about how terribly mean and condescending I am to be genuinely pathetic given you made the decision to engage with me. All I did was ask you to back up your claim. You started crying and refused.

Given how much time you’ve spent on this lame hard luck story of yours, I couldn’t imagine how you’d ever find the time for that conversation. Much easier to hide and pretend you’re just so terrible misrepresented.

Yes, this lengthy reply obviously shows your lack of time. Would’ve been easier to simply have the actual conversation about France than this pathetic nonsense.

No, you’re too stupid to read obviously.
If you are extremely poor you qualify for assistance that gets you privileges that low income families can’t afford nor qualify for.

Being extremely poor is often a better situation than being low income. It’s the same reason someone working 40 hours a week at 7.25 has a better life than someone working 40 at $14. The 7.25 an hour gets food stamps, housing assistance, and more. The $14 hrly doesn’t.

If anyone needs a good laugh, this is the logical fallacy he was upset about. Apparently you shouldn’t judge politicians on who they choose to associate with

If you click on this you’ll find him first telling me it’s a terrible logical fallacy, followed by him admitting that you should (obviously) judge politicians based on who they associate with
“Guilt by association is a logical fallacy where a person is deemed guilty or negative based solely on their connection to a disfavored group or individual. It is a form of ad hominem attack that wrongly transfers negative attributes from one entity to another”

Dude, we’ve had discussions much further back than from that thread. My statement was an embodiment of you in general, not from the last couple of threads. It’s just who you are and how you choose to discuss.
