2026 Vols Transfer Portal Thread

There’s a fairly publicly circulated sentiment that they will support Barnes beyond the parameters of their targeted spend. As for Tanner, they absolutely had the support for him if he chose to enter and spoke to his agents pretty intensively over weeks. I’m not sure what you mean by “even ultimately legit” but it was factually that degree of legit. They won’t lose Juke over money and I think they feel pretty confident they’ll get him, and that they’d have more money if they need to be opportunistic. If some outlier possibility comes up (like Ament withdrawing) they’d step up beyond the target. They did do last year too.

Much like this board in regard to Tanner—a lot of talk and not much of anything else.

I’m sorry that your expectations weren’t met. What were you expecting? Sounds like you made some assumptions and conclusions on your own. Funny how things don’t end the way you were expecting when people do that

The Michigan staff member post says put the odds at 45%". Not sure how that's favored...

The screen capture trilly part on the Michigan board said probably Michigan because he doesn't think vols will wait around for him.

That only makes sense if they still list UNC to divide the percentages among three teams.

I think Lue is being underappreciated. He played on a team that had nowhere near the talent he will be playing with next year. The way he cuts to the basket and plays off the dribble against other bigs i see him as an improvement over JP, Cade and Carey. He has a good looking touch around the rim. He can play above the rim. He shoots decent from the FT line. And he can make you the occasional open three. He blocks shots. Dont let the fact he came from Kennesaw State fool you into thinking he isnt a good player. This may not be the break out type of big everyone was hoping for. But he is no slouch. I look forward to seeing him in Orange next year.
Come on, man.

Curious if Tounde Yessoufou is the backup for Juke...

FR - 6'5" 215lbs, 46.5% FG, 29.3% 3PT, 74.6% FT, 17.8ppg, 5.9rpg, 1.6apg, 2.0spg more of a 3 than a 2 but with Ames and Lundblade would be fine with him at the 3 mostly I think

Former #11 rated HS player, and we recruited outta HS...was originally in his Top 10

Why wouldn’t we wait around for him at this point? There is quite literally no one else left to pursue.

He won’t wait around for Juke. Thought he was UCLA bound anyway.

He's also declared...so he may be waiting just like Juke, unless someone offers a big NIL bag.

Jalen Shelley, SO 6'8" 190lbs from Loyola Marymount is another potential backup...13.7ppg, 6.6rpg, 2.7apg shot 45.7% FG, 28.7% 3PT and 70.4% FT also someone we recruited outta HS
