2026 Vols Transfer Portal Thread

That lineup also almost gives Barnes his perfect lineup of having every starter 6’7+. (I could’ve swore I seen that somewhere)

Hill Jr 6’3
Juke 6’7
Haralson 6’7
Freeman 6’9
Rubin 6’11
Barnes said it early on in his UT tenure. Can’t remember if it was first or second year, but he said his dream line up is all 5 players being 6’7+ with guard skills. Or something along those lines. Hes getting pretty close with this roster

Google not helping me, what time does the portal close tomorrow ?
I might be wrong on this, but if a player decides to enter the portal tomorrow, their school can slow walk 48 hours till it’s public. However, this is all BS anyway because there is nothing preventing the agents from talking to schools even before portal entry is declared.

I think this is correct. You’ll hear of portal entries trickle in a day or two after it closes.

My 2 cents I got

Hill
Ames
Harris
Haralson
Rubin

I just think Dai Dai is too talented to keep on the bench. He easily has the best handle on the team and that’s saying a lot cause this team is gonna be able to handle the rock. Glad I’m not the one whose gonna be making those decisions to be honest 😂

I really think they see Dai Dai as the 6th man who can come off the bench and score and run point - like he said when he committed, the Gainey role.

If we want to take the next step we need guys like Ames, and Lundblade to come off the bench where very little drop off happens. Ames is good enough to start though.

His step back reminds me of an AND1 clip.

@bleedingTNorange

Who is our lead recruiter right now? Our Rod Clark type guy that’s doing a lot of the relationship building?

I assume closing the deal is mostly the suits
Amorrow Morgan has put in a lot of work this off season, Polinsky has helped, Campbell & Daughtry do a lot of the behind the scenes and initial contact type of stuff.

This is what I think as well. Besides, a “dai dai” is actually a type of chair or bench (in Japan) so it’s probably meant to be anyway.

I think Tennessee has interest in both Jayden Hastings & Luke Bamgboye, obviously there’s interest in some of those top end guys like Diop & Thiam, but not only are they incredibly expensive both guys are looking to bring along coaches with them, and that’s not really a game we play. Obviously they still remain locked in on Juke Harris, and there’s some contact with Freeman camp, other than that it kind of feels like waiting and seeing who else maybe jumps in over the next ~36 hours.

What happened to the Hastings visit? At first, I thought it was scheduled for Saturday. Then, I read it was this week.
