I just saw something about angler fish.

The males attach themselves to females. They literally merge halfway with them, like half their body melts into the female. . . but they don't die. They are just stuck to them for life.

The slutty angler fish female lets several males merge into her and just swims around here whole life with semen on demand.

They do this because it's so dark that it's too hard to find a male when it's time to get busy.

But wait. . . there is more. . .

Even their little lure that dangles over their mouth to lure in food isnt actually part of them. It's bioluminescent bacteria that lives in there.
