This team has no speed, little power, hit into a lot of DPs &strike out a lot. Otherwise, they are very talented.

They dominated the travel ball circuit and look good getting off the bus.

Going to a shift with a slow runner batting in a DP situation & pitching consistently away from the shift is ****** coaching. Sorry. JE has inherited a misaligned & overrated roster but he loves the shift more than anyone & has been consistently beat by it.

I guess the biggest take away is Mack with his worst start of the season and next for me is nearly all our guys are first pitch swinging and mostly at balls , our plate discipline has been awful and these other teams know we’re super aggressive and they don’t have to throw a strike on the first pitch to get ahead , we just don’t look like a team that’s willing to do whatever it takes to get on base , Ole Miss with a better approach and discipline , you can tell those guys are older

We had our chance with the bases loaded but came away with nothing. Crazy how one at bat could have changed the whole complexion of the game. We got 2 more let's take em.

After a good cry, I've come to the conclusion we have them right where we want them. They win game one, get overconfident, and then we take games 2 and 3 to win the series. Chess, not checkers.

Was there. Mack had a rough night. Gave up 3 homers. Two were monster shots. One of the biggest smashes I’ve ever seen. Plus, he gave up a homer on the first pitch after a mound visit. Settled down, but offense provided little help. Bullpen got it done. Once again, offense did not put enough pressure on their starter. Despite Jay’s homer to pull within 3, they didn’t seem inspired to rally.

I didn’t see the final count but I’d wager we threw 30 more pitches in that game. Speaks to plate approach. I thought after last weekend we’d see a different team, but same issues.

I've pretty much chalked up the season to youth growing pains. Team is rudderless and way too young. I recall the struggles of guys like Moore and Burke. Look at the soph slump of Clark for example. The veteran presence just isn't there and it's not coming from a first year head coach who's also learning on the job. Just a perfect storm of youth. Lumps are going to keep coming. Just hope the fans and players/recruits will hang with us.

When Vitello left, a lot of the luster left the program, too. Pulling for Elander, but the old saying about being the guy who replaces a legend rings true at the moment. I think being patient would be a lot easier if the portal didn't exist. That's my big concern about how this season is playing out.
