This isn't data based, but I do wonder how much NIL Michigan has to work with with no one entering the portal. I've seen at least one rumor that we've prepared a $6 million package for Juke. Does MI have enough left over to match that if true? Of course in fairness, they've got more than money to offer now. We'll see I guess.

Tiller seems to have potential but his offensive numbers were terrible. Carey was better and that’s really saying something

Due to turning over essentially the whole roster, you almost have to land two “superstars” at the very least equivalent to Ament & Gillespie to have a shot. I’d like to think this doesn’t just hinge on landing Juke & Tanner. Hopefully they are having contingency discussions with comparable players and not just those two.

I think we’re all smart enough to be able to draw conclusions that in an 8-post thread from Mashack’s mom about the transfer portal, the one Momma Bos chose to quote tweet was about certain programs offensive style not does not appropriately feature or prepare players for the NBA. A common and somewhat reductive analysis of Barnes offense. She doesn’t have to say the word “Tennessee” for it to be clear who she is talking about.

I guess my point is, what does she gain from this? We had an entire team worth of players quietly enter the portal without trying to throw the program under the bus on their way out the door. Sometimes airing your dirty laundry is best done privately not with a microphone. That’s all I’ll say.

All I can say is you and I have a hugely different opinion of what’s “throwing the program under the bus”. But it’s all good - go VOLS!
