Cant believe we had all that talent at CB and D went to crap.

For real - it felt like for a decade we’d read about great DB recruiting only to learn from Hubbs in the spring that the “secondary is a big question mark” and there were just a “bunch of bodies back there.” We’d be frustrated by that assessment all summer, only to learn next fall he was right. We finally assemble an elite secondary, and then we can’t stop dirt. What gives??

I like this kid a lot. Shame we didn't get to see him and McCoy lined up together but it paid off for Redmond(who I think is a 1st rd pick also)and the future.

BaseVols' Evan Hankins suffered a leg injury in pre-game warmups on Saturday.

Hankins is a 6-foot-5, 225 pound athlete from Bristol, Va. and attended Miller School of Albemarle. He was considered the No. 156 overall prospect in the 2025 signing class, according to Perfect Game and was considered the No. 2 first baseman.

There's probably never been a player who would benifit more. Changing his body is the obvious, but I dont think he has the mentality for the NBA yet. The growth over the year in this area is huge and would love to see what he could do with a full off-season being more mentally prepared.

We could add a lot more to this list…chandler was another..I hated seeing him go that year. if he stayed ohhh my!.didn’t we picked up DK that next year.

I'm worried about Stone Lawless. Eye (orbital) socket can be a really bad injury, including to eyesight.

It's not nearly as important as Stone's health, but I think we might well have won the game if he had been able to continue hitting.

Best wishes go out to Stone, his family, and the docs and techs.

Probably got tired of hearing noise from fanbase crying about him coaching 3rd base... One thing about Vitello, if he would've been coaching 3rd base and fans were crying he would've told them to shut the hell up...you know it and everyone else knows it also..

It’s oldish news, he was cleared ever since Arkansas week and the team was under the impression “next week ill play” and never did
