Iran

By the way, Iran is like every other patronage dictatorship, including Communists. The Thugs at the top lose control when the system fails of its own weight. The Soviet Union had control until it didn’t. I don't generally accept the assertion that bought loyalty provides stability.
Then let the 86-year-old leader die naturally and watch that happen instead of making everyone's lives worse

If Trump wants to invade Iran with ground troops, get Barron in a uniform so he can serve his country. Make your daddy proud, Junior!

Wait... are bone spurs hereditary?

Trump also said Iran has given the US oil that will be shipped tomorrow to “prove they’re serious.” Trump said when he talked last week about Iran giving the US a “present,” it was “10 massive boatloads of oil.”

“And today they gave us another present. They gave us 20 boatloads of oil that starts being shipped tomorrow,” he said.

Seems like he's trying to take credit for an agreement between Iran and Pakistan, lol

Well If MBS says so……obviously a reputable source.
It's an unnerving indication of the manipulative power of internet propaganda that those posters who regularly express an indiscriminate fear (if not outright hatred) of Muslim people (most of whom are so merely by accident of their birth) and who on that basis support war in Iran and the suppression of constitutional rights at home are the very same posters who keep sharing messages portraying the Saudi government as America's friend (the same Saudi government that is the world's greatest exporter of extremist Islam, that produced 19 of the 20 9/11 terrorists, and that forbids all public practice and expression of the Christian faith).

Not just internet propaganda...

but anyways, they're the same people celebrating attacks in the West Bank and Lebanon as eliminating those dirty Muslims without even caring that there are big, and very ancient, Christian populations in those places that are getting wiped out by the dozens. Pastor Jim Bob told them this was a holy war by the blessed people therefore screw everyone there, glass the Middle East!

These demands from Iran are why I think this will turn into a full-scale ground invasion (assuming a deal isn't made). These are just completely unacceptable demands.

Iran has clearly showed they can successfully leverage the strait of Hormuz and disrupt the world economy.

I think Iran is expecting a land invasion and knows that it is political suicide for Americans. The appetite for war in this country is as low as I remember. This isn’t 2004. The thought of video clips being transmitted via social media to Americans of drone swarms hitting American marines in an already unpopular war would be a political catastrophe for the Republican Party. I do not know how Trump gets out of this.

This is why we stop handing a couple of late-70s egomaniacs any sort of meaningful power.

They’ll probably just try to keep gas lighting the public. Trump will tweet the war has been won, they’ve seized the oil and then the next day news will come out they’re deploying 10k more troops

How much of the public is buying the crap, though?

I guess a better question is how much must keep buying it to allow the charade to continue.

Suggesting blatant war crimes. How the f*** are you going to blow up desalinization plants, i.e. civilians' source of water in a desert, and still have people like MAD posting 20 times a day about how we're doing this because we love the Iranian people so much
