The Official #23 Tennessee [6] vs. #6 Iowa State [2] Game Thread, 10:10 PM ET, TBS

We exceeded last month’s expectations. We have only lived up to pre-season through January expectations. We were top 25 most of the year, so I still think we need to advance to the Elite 8 to have exceeded expectations.
Expectations not met then

Who’s expectations? We returned 7 pts from last years team

What did the simultaneous say on the referees? Otherwise it’s pointless.
Since you wanted to be a jerk when I’m just providing something fun…here you go.

Earl Walton, Deldre Carr, and Tim Smith worked Iowa State vs. Tennessee State on March 20, and that game finished with 39 combined personal fouls and 46 combined free-throw attempts. I see this being a moderately called game that will benefit Tennessee by .5 points.

Unless you win the National title, a Final Four means nothing
I do smell what you are cooking, but since Bird and Magic in '79, when I was 8, I have dreamed of the Vols in the Final 4. Of course, I want UT to win it, but I would still be ecstatic to make the Final 4

I’d argue it means a hell of alot especially for Tennessee who has never been to one. Maybe not for Duke or Florida or Kansas or the other blue bloods but for us it wouid be huge in ending that drought.

the window will only be open so long. I just want to see one in my lifetime

Um this isn't the old days. With the portal we can reload and be a FF potential team every season. I mean this is one of the weakest rosters Barnes has put together and we're a game from his third straight E8.

So I wouldn't get all worried about any window closing.

The voters of the associated press and the voters of the coach’s poll thought we should be able to make it this far.

I’m guessing with the return of Okpara, Philips, and Estrella along with the additions of Gillespie, Ament, and Carey, we were supposed to have a formidable group.

Thanks, except for calling me a jerk. That was tacky, to say the least.
