Well if she is leaving, as talented as she is, I would much rather rather it be MO than LSU.

I'd much rather it be UT. She hasn't announced, so she's a LV until she isn't. I'd rather her go pro than play for anyone other than LV.

Why would you love our best player going to MO?

Many reasons, but two are: 1. Cooper already knows Kellie and would shine there, and I think it would be really good for her, and 2. I want Kellie to succeed there as well, and Cooper committed to her before, maybe it could happen again, even though I think Cooper will be highly pursued by many schools, if she leaves TN.

If Missouri snags her, unless our team is greatly improved next season, I could see us taking a loss from them. All but Reisma will be back, and they supposedly have a good freshman class coming in. Plus, we already know Kellie is a beast in the portal. As hard as her team played this season, and as happy as they all looked doing it, that kind of energy is bound to be attractive.

Actually, 3 are graduating, Reisma, Smith, and Tyler, and 5 Freshmen are signed, plus there are the ones who were on the bench injured this year that are still on the team. If no one else leaves, the roster is full, so fortunately or not, Kellie may not be active in this year’s portal. Maybe they can somehow make room.

more warm bodies, unless Coop or Civil fly away. Then KC will send remaining
assistants to the morgue to seek recruits from among the freeze dried occupants.

I am thinking no one is staying we have two freshmen maybe coming in. Lauren Hurst leaving was a huge surprise. I don't see how Danny can possibly keep Caldwell if the whole team leaves.

If everyone leaves then he has to fire her. If he fires her we may lose the two freshmen players. We may lose them anyway. Going to need a coach that can get us 12 players so he better be hiring someone that could bring some players with them. If Kim gets to stay she better keep the two freshmen and Civil at least and then you need nine.
I am all for starting over with a new coach. I can't see any reason even right now with four players in the portal even if that is all that was leaving.

Lisa Thompson or Ma ' Riya Vicent recovering from knee surgery last year. Vincent should better next year two years post injury. Lisa Thompson mostly leave on her own playing time. All might stay.

Not trying to over ruin anyone’s individual posts about the transfers but would it be better if we had a centralized place? Who is gone and is there anyone left I see the twins just announced their departure …. Again not trying to rain on anyone’s parade who started individual posts for players

I made duplicate posts only because discussion around Lyss really got shoehorned into the post about Deniya. Also, while they happened in quick succession, I did see them separately. This seems like a good way to consolidate our fretting or wishcasting for a better future!

I don’t think we’ll have anyone left including the incoming freshmen. I think the twins, who are supposedly on the fence about staying, will end up at Rutgers. I think the incoming freshmen will ask to be released from their LOIs. How can she get an entire team from the portal? Nothing but a dumpster fire right now

Here's something to think about. Obviously since the portal isn't even officially open yet, then nobody has actually officially joined another program yet, meaning ...

If, say, a new coach is hired at Tennessee and she/he is considered a major contender and a homerun hire, there may be a chance some of the players we're expecting to lose may actually decide to stay.

Sure, that's a longshot, but it's not impossible. It'd probably take a heckuva hire. Or for some, just ANY new hire. Ya never know!

I had this thought too, but I think the players had such a terrible year that even a new coach wouldn't be enough. If i put myself in their shoes, I would probably need a change of scenery (different teammates, gym, etc.). I could be wrong but i do think some players have been treated so badly that it wouldn't matter.

Pauldo twins have not entered the portal (yet). They're the only ones I have heard might actually stay.

Are any of them salvageable IYO, if we were to have a new coach. (Let's say Walz or the Gonzaga coach)

I guess we could do it though no players and no recruits is certainly easily calling the present coach and situation a failure. If Wynn had transfered there last year, she could have had a lot of fun and success. Boyd and Hurst could dominate there, and they would be more than happy to let Hurst also play volleyball for a very respectable volleyball program.
