Many reasons, but two are: 1. Cooper already knows Kellie and would shine there, and I think it would be really good for her, and 2. I want Kellie to succeed there as well, and Cooper committed to her before, maybe it could happen again, even though I think Cooper will be highly pursued by many schools, if she leaves TN.Why would you love our best player going to MO?
Well if she is leaving, as talented as she is, I would much rather rather it be MO than LSU.
Actually, 3 are graduating, Reisma, Smith, and Tyler, and 5 Freshmen are signed, plus there are the ones who were on the bench injured this year that are still on the team. If no one else leaves, the roster is full, so fortunately or not, Kellie may not be active in this year’s portal. Maybe they can somehow make room.If Missouri snags her, unless our team is greatly improved next season, I could see us taking a loss from them. All but Reisma will be back, and they supposedly have a good freshman class coming in. Plus, we already know Kellie is a beast in the portal. As hard as her team played this season, and as happy as they all looked doing it, that kind of energy is bound to be attractive.
Agree, the energy there is the opposite of what DW has brought to the Lady Vol basketball program. If Missouri snags her, unless our team is greatly improved next season, I could see us taking a loss from them. I just wanted to say I think this was a good idea, and my parade was not rained onNot trying to over ruin anyone’s individual posts about the transfers but would it be better if we had a centralized place? Who is gone and is there anyone left I see the twins just announced their departure …. Again not trying to rain on anyone’s parade who started individual posts for players
Edit: The twins haven’t posted they are leaving but I’ve heard they are gone too…
I don’t think we’ll have anyone left including the incoming freshmen. I think the twins, who are supposedly on the fence about staying, will end up at Rutgers. I think the incoming freshmen will ask to be released from their LOIs. How can she get an entire team from the portal? Nothing but a dumpster fire right nowI am thinking no one is staying we have two freshmen maybe coming in. Lauren Hurst leaving was a huge surprise. I don't see how Danny can possibly keep Caldwell if the who team leaves.

Players retain before Kellie Harper at Tigers
Grace Slaughter g 6 0 Missouri girl
Averi Kroeke PG 5 11 Missouri girl
Hannah Lithacum F 6 4 Missouri girl
Abbey Schreacke G 5 11
Ma' Riya Vicente G 6 0
Possible transfer portal my opinion
don't see Kelly pushing anyone out
Lisa Thompson or Ma ' Riya Vicent recovering from knee surgery last year. Vincent should better next year two years post injury. Lisa Thompson mostly leave on her own playing time. All might stay.
Danny White fires Kim Caldwell
Right hired most important.
Players will start signing probably before Tennessee gets a new coach .
So a new coach with good evaluation skills
Of Talent is a must.
Should Danny White fires Kim Caldwell now and start a search?
Wait April 1 start searching
Or should hired one April 2 already having a coach in 2 mind / lightning speed deal or already secretly secretly agreed to.
if he interviews multiple candidates
how many weeks do you guess it Will take?
I had this thought too, but I think the players had such a terrible year that even a new coach wouldn't be enough. If i put myself in their shoes, I would probably need a change of scenery (different teammates, gym, etc.). I could be wrong but i do think some players have been treated so badly that it wouldn't matter. Here's something to think about. Obviously since the portal isn't even officially open yet, then nobody has actually officially joined another program yet, meaning ...
If, say, a new coach is hired at Tennessee and she/he is considered a major contender and a homerun hire, there may be a chance some of the players we're expecting to lose may actually decide to stay.
Sure, that's a longshot, but it's not impossible. It'd probably take a heckuva hire. Or for some, just ANY new hire. Ya never know!![]()
So you're a Kellie fan, not a UT fan? Why else woukd you want our best player to leave for our former coach, smh. Many reasons, but two are: 1. Yes! It better not be a mid major. Or what’s the use in firing her? I feel that Jennie from OK hasn’t been mentioned much. Maybe some don’t like her. But she’s a proven coach in the SEC and maybe Chavez would come with herKeep Caldwell we get an all new team. Getting a new coach we get an all new team maybe? Some players could decide to comeback with a different coach. Which ones would a new coach want back?
A new coach better not be a mid major. Probably should stay away from I get a raise everytime Tennessee calls Walz.
Everything is in a kind of pause until that glorious April fools day gets here. Then I expect things to move fast, very fast in either Caldwell team building for a third year, a new coach is hired and very fast team building for their first year.
Tennessee needs the greatest portal class ever.
Those two things seem contradictory to me. Whether with the old coach or a new one I don't think it's likely to be fast at all unless we take every mid major and low D1 with a pulse. More likely it will be a long drawn out arduous process. The best hope for anything to be quick would be a new coach who brings players with. Then I expect things to move fast, very fast in either Caldwell team building for a third year, a new coach is hired and very fast team building for their first year.

Tennessee keeping a coach when the entire team transferred and if both Assistants leave would be the dumbest move in the history of basketball. I guess we could do it though no players and no recruits is certainly easily calling the present coach and situation a failure. I guess we could blame the players, but which ones I guess all 14 of them. Those two things seem contradictory to me. But I totally do not think we're getting a new coach at all.
If we could keep Cooper and Civil and the two incoming freshman I would be ok with that sure. Caldwell is not going to be successful here would have to change a lot of things and she is determined not to do so.I say this somewhat selfishly but I want all of our transfers to go to ETSU. And for some of them, that might actually be their best option.
If Wynn had transfered there last year, she could have had a lot of fun and success. Boyd and Hurst could dominate there, and they would be more than happy to let Hurst also play volleyball for a very respectable volleyball program.
Any and all who leave If the coach stays. I believe that's the only justification for the coach staying, that she is indeed clearing out all the rotten underbrush and starting over, sacrificing her success for doing the right thing. Lol, believe there's a lot of middle ground between top tier SEC and ETSU that any of these players could land at and be successfulI say this somewhat selfishly but I want all of our transfers to go to ETSU. And for some of them, that might actually be their best option.
