The Atlanta Braves

Why can't we have nice things. Pickens had to get pulled today because she hurt her shoulder.
I know the softball pitching motion is much easier on shoulders/elbows than baseball but it seems like that was bound to happen. She has an incredible amount of mileage on her arm

The LVs are absolutely cooked if she misses significant time.

Karen said postgame it was discomfort and didnt elaborate.

I complained a lot last year about how much they were using her, it used to be the norm but with her velo it was only a matter of time. Just like baseball

Tbh I didn’t like his fit in the lineup with Ronald leading off anyway. They need another major league hitter to stem the tide until Murphy/Kim return but nothing crazy. That can be Ben Gamel or Dom Smith for all I care. Baldwin will have to carry a heavy load early but can spend much of the dog days DHing. This is more than fine, especially if 2/3 Riley, Harris and Ozzie are good. Still concerned about 11/13 pitching spots.

Riley
Baldwin

Albies being a 105 OPS+ guy and Riley being 21-23 Riley would really change they dynamic of this team. Even if Yaz is league average and Baldwin isn't quite what he was last year, that should still be formidable lineup with full season Ronnie, Olson and Riley/Albies being what we have seen.

Yas is going to hit righties, no concern there. Probably won’t be able to platoon him early on given the lack of options elsewhere tho

I did not have Bowman turning into DOB on my 2026 bingo card. I get that it’s a story but give it a rest in the clubhouse man.

Still think for the first time two months I'd DH Baldwin and start Heim at C against lefties. I don't want Drake being overworked in May.

My 4 year old daughter is playing Tball.

Coach asks her number.

She chooses 96.

No idea why.

And I looked it up, there have only been 8 players to EVER wear 96 in MLB. Has to be the rarest OAT, right? (I’m not doing the leg work)

That's cool they let them pick their number.

My kid is 2/2 on landing on a good team though. Last year was the Braves, this year is the Rays.

I recall even the mediocre hitters like Brady Anderson and Brett Boone being absolute beast while on the juice. Meanwhile Profar goes from league average hitter to above average hitter....
I think that latter part pretty accurately describes what Boone did. They all had similar jumps from typical to pe(d)ak.
