Everything we post--here or elsewhere--is being read, compiled, assimilated, and then being expressed back via AI, Google result rankings, YouTube push algorithms, etc.

Maybe, hopefully, our digital harvesters have a built-in de-amplification for negative bias!
(If AI has actual Intelligence, surely it will ignore every game thread in every fanbase! If not, western civilization is doomed.)

AC airing out her opinions is her right and job to do its unfortunate that it was on the platform that she has and no different than Britt doing it, AC just has more credit. It's all just her opinion or analysis of the situation. Now it's up to coach and team to prove her wrong.

I agree she is a valuable and respected VFL and while I'm inclined to believe a lot of what she said, (assuming she also has contacts close to the situation) I just don't think piling on in that particular moment was beneficial to our program. We already had numerous fans and articles and social media posts talking about "buy-in" and criticizing Coach Kim for her comments after the South Carolina game, her blow by of Coach Yo after the Ole Miss game and other seemingly negative perceptions out there. I understand and respect her opinions and applaud her for speaking her mind. However, if you think it didn't hurt the perception of Kim, our players, and staff... in my opinion it most certainly did. Still love her though, and shes gorgeous and highly talented at her job.

CKC could stand to up her “perception “ game too. She is in the big time now. Needs to act like it.

She is not a news reporter. She is a commentator. She was giving her views on what she sees at a cornerstone program in WBB. It also happens that she is commenting on her alma mater.
She is very well respected and her opinion matters to those who follow WBB. CKC would do well to try and establish a relationship with the LV alumni including Carter. It would be foolish on coach’s part to not utilize these contacts.

Carter is part of the media, since when does Lady Vols fans care what the media says? If this would've been Rebecca Lobo instead of Carter with this assessment about CKC this board would've blown a gasket.

Kim’s words about quitters carried a lot of weight and started the whole back and forth. Got praised for her honesty. If we’re going to be honest let’s all be honest.

I dont think much that happens now could do more harm than those nationally televised humiliations stacking up one after another. If anything has harmed self-confidence and perception it’s that reality, not the conversation around that.

The criticism did not happen in a vacuum. It’s not like recruits and others didn’t already know about the struggles.

In a way, the back-and-forth is actually good. It shows people still care about the program; some like Carter, care passionately . The fear is we’re approaching a time when the LVS can be on a historic skid and no one says a word because no one cares.

I understand what you’re saying, and I agree that the losses themselves are real and visible. No one is pretending that recruits or fans don’t see what’s happening on the court.

At the same time, I think there’s a difference between acknowledging struggles and amplifying them in a way that deepens the narrative. Losses impact confidence, but the surrounding tone can either steady the ship or make things feel more unstable. Perception matters — especially in recruiting and culture building.

Healthy conversation is important. Passion is part of what makes this fan base special. But there’s also value in being mindful of how public back-and-forth can shape how the program is viewed from the outside.

I don’t think the concern is about silencing criticism or pretending everything is fine. It’s more about striking a balance — holding standards high while also recognizing that programs rebuild best when there’s steadiness around them, not just scrutiny.

You obviously don’t know much about AC. She gave her all for the LVs including playing through a significant leg injury. She probably could have extended her playing career if she decided to sit out but her team needed her. She is the complete package; heart, brains and undying love of the LVs.

CKC shouldn't have said what she said after the loss to South Carolina at the Press Conference but if former Lady Vols want to comment about it there's better ways than through Twitter and through being a media person... Pick up the phone and call CKC and give your input, just making it worse by blurting it out on National Television...JMO, on a fan message board..

It did bring to mind Kara’s viral video regarding the “hard things”. I’m no fan of Lawson but she learned some of those hard things lessons playing for Pat.

I probably need to get an Instagram account but I generally avoid all that stuff. No X, instagram, tic toc or Facebook. Linked In and Substack and of course here are my only social media platforms. Call me old school!

teach me your ways! i want off meta platforms so badly, but I also use them to keep in touch with some people. I gave up X long ago and my beloved TikTok earlier this year.

I gave up X about a year ago. It is such a cesspool. I am happier without it for sure although I do miss some LV content. I like Substack because it is longer form and often more thoughtful. You can also direct what you want to receive so I get a lot of art and dog videos!
Some politics but I try to stay away from those dealing in make believe scenarios and crackpot stuff. I particularly like HCR and Joyce Vance. Joyce has chickens and often accompanies her posts, which are usually really well thought out legal analysis with pictures of her chickens! I enjoy a lighter touch. Good luck!

You can lure me into a lot of content with the promise of chicken pictures I was on TikTok for so long because my algorithm was really just feeding me cute cat videos that I would watch while doing my skincare lol! I appreciate you sharing all this. I find that I typically think I will miss a platform more than I actually do.

i think most of the freshman realize and appreciate that Barker will be replaced by BIG OOOOOOO next season. I have no doubt they want to play with and finish the mission of taking TN back to the top. If they stay, we look way different next year. I hope all of them stay!
