But he was smart enough to grab the kid from Elon as insurance. Did the same last year. Gotta give credit where credit is due. There are players out there if you can spot them, Clearly, Kiffin and his staff excel at evals. He might be scummy, but the guy knows what he's doing.

Unpopular take- Kiffin did what it took to get the Qb he wants and thinks he needed for LSU to win. Is he a troll? Sure. Do I wish our staff was a little more cut throat and do what it takes to win? Absolutely.

And no I don’t have a Kiffin obsession. Take that name out of the equation and many here would be talking about what a good job it was.

Its not unpopular to us that don't have our nose stuck up his but.

But it is him so theres that. Hes not the only coach out there "doing a good job" but he is the only one youre in taking up for.

I'm not upset at all about Leavitt. Just too risky. Still, if Heupel's plan was to hope Aguilar got another year, he gets what he deserves if it doesn't happen. Look at Kiffin. He got the kid from Elon as a plan B. Now if Leavitt has issues, he's got options. Heupel could learn a thing or two from Kiffin, no?

Is that really what he knows? I personally *think* that Heupel believes in what he's doing and thinks he's going to be successful, because he is intensely competitive. You read minds about as well as Gary Danielson who always seemed to know what everyone was thinking.

Not upset either . There were plenty of good portal QB’ s out there. But if Heupel goes with G Mac or Beau ? Oh well

So, if Trinidad Chambliss was granted another year and wanted to come to Tennessee, you would pass because he associated himself with Kiffin for a year? Yeah, I think you would somehow be able to look past that.

That was what I was thinking about when I responded. Dobbs took several tough hits in that game and I swear I was afraid he would break in two. Hell no. He jumped right back up and got his team rallied. I only remember him obviously hurt when he took a shot to the ribs making a TD. He shook it off. It’s the fight in the dog, as they say.

Wondering if a big booster just stepped up and said screw that dude leaving in the middle of the night for Cali and now coming into Knoxvegas in the middle of the night to steal a recruit we want. Pay him more than they are willing.

Getting into a peeing contest with crazy LSU boosters that just paid $54M to make Brian Kelly go away and committed to pay Kiffin $13M + big NIL money every year for 10 years is probably not a good idea unless Elon is town.

I say offer him something so stupid high, just to make LSU match it. Otherwise, they’ve got egg on the face and no QB who was “committed” like 2 hours ago……
